Three newly refurbished holiday cottages situated in the Charente Limousin. Set in a small village 13km from Rochechouart and 27km from La Rochefoucauld. The airport at Limoges is one hour's drive away. The cottages share a large garden with orchard and an above ground swimming pool (dim. 3.80m x 7.30m). The lakes are a 3 minute drive away where there are beaches, bars, restaurants and a Base Nautique which offers canoeing, sailing and other water sports. There are also pedalloes available for hire and a crazy golf course. These lakes are also popular for fishing, rambling and cycling. Rochechouart and La Rochefoucauld also have magnificent Chateaux to visit. The Adventure Parc is a 10 min drive away and is popular with both children and adults. Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds and euros. Weekends and Short Breaks are available – please e-mail us for prices and availability. We also do longer term lets - again please contact us for more information.
Please note - Gas, Electricity and Water are included in the rental cost during the Summer months; but guests are asked to pay an additional charge of Euros 50 per week during the Winter months for extra use of these utilities.
Changeover day
Preferred change over days are Saturdays, but if no booking for weeks either side then can be flexible.

Chez Pépé (Sleeps 2, 1 Bedroom)

Chez PéPé has been newly renovated. It has one bedroom containing a double bed, drawers and wardrobe. A single bed or cot can be added on request. Fully fitted kitchen containing an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer. The bathroom has a WC, wash basin, bath and a separate shower. There is a living room containing 2 large comfortable sofas and a TV showing English channels, plus a wood burning stove for cooler weather. It has private off-street parking and access to the large garden and swimming pool. As all of the accommodation is on one floor - it is ideal for guests with restricted mobility. |

| This bigger, family-sized gite is ideal for more than one couple or couples with older children. The main bedroom contains a double bed and has an en-suite shower room; the second bedroom is open-plan - easily configurable to accommodate sleeping for four people. There is also a second fully fitted shower room downstairs. The fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a microwave washing machine, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. | |
Accessibility
Le Nid has a downstairs shower room and a sofabed can be put in the living room on request making it suitable for people who prefer not to have to use stairs.
Outside
The large garden is private and secure, ideal for children to run around in and if you come when there is fruit on the trees, please feel free to help yourself! The over ground swimming pool is 3.80m x 7.30m. Both the cottages have a garden table and chairs and a BBQ provided for guests use.
Coast/Beach
There are 2 huge lakes situated very close to the cottages, activities there include fishing, cycling, rambling, picnic areas and bird watching. The Nautical Base provides various sailing boats and canoes for hire. There are sandy beaches situated alongside areas of the lakes with shady area for when the sun gets too hot. There are bars and restaurants for both snacks and evening meals.
Golf
There are golf courses at both St Junien and Montbron which are both a 30 minute drive away.
Travel
A 50 min drive west of Limoges Airport (Bellgarde) where Ryanair fly to daily from London Stansted and regularly from East Midlands and Liverpool. Flybe flies 3 times weekly from Southampton and daily in summer. There is car hire available at Limoges airport. You can also reach Limoges by train on one of the 12 daily connections from Paris. We are a 50 mins drive East of Angoulême which has a train station served by TGV and Eurostar from Ashford or Waterloo international.
Distances
Massignac is a distance of 4km. Les Salles Lavauguyon is a distance of 5km. Both these small villages have bakeries and small grocery stores. The bigger supermarkets are situated at Rochechouart (13km), La Rochefoucauld (27km) and St. Junien (40km).
Further details
The Adventure Park (10 min drive) has a bungee jump and an adventure trail which is suspended totally in the trees, this is highly popular with children and adults.
The Velo Rail is a fun but energetic day out for children and adults and this is at Roumazières-Loubert (20 min drive). La Discothèque in Lesignac (5 min drive) welcomes adults from 18 years old upwards for dancing, drinking and fun into the small hours.
Booking notes
Bookings are confirmed, by letter, upon receipt of a booking form and 20% of the total rental cost as deposit or full payment if less than six weeks before arrival. A refundable security deposit of £100 / 150 euros to cover excess heating charges, damage or breakages is required. This can be in the form of a euros or sterling cheque or cash and is to be handed over on arrival. This will be returned at the end of your stay if the property is found to be in an acceptable condition.
