Cremps is a traditional French rural village. ‘Liberte’ is set on a quiet hilltop just 1.5km outside the village. Liberte provides luxury and comfort. It's a 180 year old farmhouse with barn/stables and separate little house which was the local bread oven. Buildings are set around a spacious white gravelled courtyard. Separate south facing garden + 6 acres of private meadow and woods. Nearest main town (historical Cahors) is 20 mins in the car and has all facilities including really good water leisure centre. River swimming nearby. Lalbenque (10 mins) has excellent tennis courts, outdoor pool, market, restaurant, cafe and supermarket. Restaurants abound in the area, which is famous for its excellent and well-priced food and wine. Nearest major city Toulouse (1hr). Ideal for those seeking tranquillity, enjoying good food and wine, walking, canoeing, riding, relaxing in the sun and generally being at peace, but there's also plenty to do and see. Books, music, games etc available.

Liberte, the whole house comprises all the individual units described above (plus another smaller unit called ‘Acorn’ with galley kitchen, shower room but no living space). The house can be rented as a whole and accommodates 12 adults with further sofabeds for 4 children in 2 apartments Oak and Truffle(no charge for children if whole house rented). All bedrooms have their own facilities. See individual descriptions for full descriptions of all rooms. House and gardens have been specifically designed to offer independence and privacy but generous space to get together. ‘Tree’ reception rooms accommodate 10-12 people and thus can entertain all residents. The main kitchen is comprehensively equipped, including dishwasher, to prepare for and serve 12 people. Housekeeper available at extra cost if required, by arrangement.

Acorn is an additional 2 person studio apartment, enquire with owner. Radiators but not on in the summer months. Fans available. Oak for 4 people is for a couple with 2 children rather than 2 couples sharing as the bedrooms adjoin. Owner available and willing to act as housekeeper (at extra cost). All double beds good quality UK king sized with high quality linen. Each apartement and room has a unique character and charm. Particular care has gone into making each apartment like your 'home-from home' with everything you might needed already provided, including your welcome pack of food. Liberte is suitable for children and families and a very safe environment. Extensive video/DVD library free of charge (180 titles). There are separate areas in the garden for people to be able to sit and/or dine privately away from other guests. Office with internet available - no charge for reasonable use, such as logging on for mails occasionally.

Outside
South facing white gravelled garden immediately accessible to the gites, with cushioned teak sunbeds, umbrellas, shaded dining table and chairs for 6/8 + BBQ. Also, big courtyard + additional separate and secluded sunbathing area with cushioned sun-loungers and further dining for 6/8 (indoors, nice and cool!). Wild garden, leading out onto 6 acres of private meadow and woodland also suitable for camping and picnicking.

Coast/Beach
Excellent river beach with canoe hire and cafe 20 mins, excellent clean lido and tennis facilities in Lalbenque 10 mins and Limogne 20 mins; superb water leisure centre and sports grounds in Cahors 25 mins. The River Lot is accessible for boating, canoeing, swimming. 2 cycles available for use at the farm

Travel
Toulouse airport 70 mins; Rodez 80 mins drive. Calais/Cherbourg/Le Havre about a 10 hour drive. Good stop off point for onward travel to Spain. Car hire available at airports and in local town. Car necessary as no local public transport available.

Nearest villages Lalbenque with market (Sats), bar, restaurant, supermarket 10-15 mins; Limogne with bar, supermarket, pharmacy etc and market (Sun) 20 mins; Concots with bar and epicerie/boulanger and market (Sun) 10 mins. Nearest big town is Cahors 20 mins; easy access to Autoroute (A20) for access North and South. Many local towns and places of interest - too numerous to list.
