To the south approx 20 - 22 km is a breathtaking view of the sea to the west of Cannes. Below lie the old villages of Magagnosc and Opio. To the west the beautiful town of Grasse. Between Grasse and the coast is Plan de Grasse below with the mountains circling the horizon with countless villages to explore. To the east are the villages of Pre du Lac and Chateauneuf de Grasse. Both apartments boast Mark Wilkinson 'Provence' kitchens with state of art Miele appliances and stone worktops. Fully tiled terraces on two levels are there for guests to enjoy. Outside tables, chairs, sunbeds etc are available to enjoy.

The Ground floor apartment is approached by steps from the upper or lower road. The apartment includes a kitchen and living room area with a Mark Wilkinson 'Provence' kitchen. Appliances include, oven, hob, extractor,washing machine, dryer, fridge freezer, granite worktops and double sink. The room includes tables chairs and sofas. The master bedroom (5m by 5m) with en suite shower room and doors to the terrace. There is a 6' wide bed. The second bedroom includes a 5' double bed. There is a bathroom in this apartment with shower over. All brass ware by Perrin and Rowe. 'New' - satellite TV. Featuring widescreen TV and DVD player. |

Notes on accommodation
The Mas has electric heating throughout. The insulation is such that the Mas remains relatively cool in summer and there is plenty of heat for the winter periods.
Outside
Both apartments are approached on ground level as the property is on the side of a steep hill. There are huge terrace areas to both apartments. Due to the design the apartments feel like individual properties. There are four Olive trees on the property and grapevines. Outside tables and chairs and sun loungers are available to enjoy the wonderful climate. The property has a one depth pool which is 1.3m deep which is shared between both apartments.
Coast/Beach
The Cote d'Azur is famous for its beaches and we would advise that you explore Antibes, Cap d'Antibes, Juan les Pins, Cannes and La Napoule. Beaches are 25-30 mins by car depending on traffic. There is a train service from Grasse to Cannes, the station is 5-6 km from Magagnosc.
Golf
There are approximately 12 courses within 25 minutes of Magagnosc. The closest of these would be the Opio-Valbonne course that is a 10 minute drive from La Vigie. The best course is in Fayence (25 mins) or for a treat in the summer in the mountains at Taulane (45 mins) just off the route de Napoleon. Others are in Grasse (15 mins), Claux Amic, Grande Bastide, Victoria, Old and new Riviera in Mandelieu all within 30 minutes.
Skiing
Ski resorts are located within a 1-2 hour drive. We are told that you can leave Magagnosc in the morning to ski in the mountains and make Cannes for an afternoon of sun and shopping returning for tea at dark!
Travel
A car is necessary to enjoy the area. Nice airport is 25 minutes away. The hire cars at Nice are all located at terminal 2. There is a station in Grasse which connects with Cannes and from there the rest of the Cote d'Azur and Italy. Those that want to drive from England can do so in 1 - 2 days. The journey is almost 99% on motorways and is approximately 750 miles.
Distances
The villages of Pre du Lac and Chateauneuf de Grasse adjoin the village of Magagnosc. Food shopping can be made locally. Large supermarkets can be found in Grasse (6kms)and near Valbonne (10 - 12 km). The beautifull village of Gourdon (7kms) sits heigh above the loup valley ( 5 kms). Here discover Tourrettes sur Loup, (14km), Further away enjoy the famous village of St Paul (25-28km) and Vence (24 km).
Monte-Carlo, is about 1 hour 30 mins drive away, Nice 45 minutes and Cannes 30 minutes.
Further details
There is so much to see and do in this part of the Cote d'Azure. Nestled in the mountains Magagnosc is ideally situated to discover the mountains, towns and villages, cities, sea and culture. Practically anything you need can be purchased locally or in Grasse.
Booking notes
A 50% deposit is required with all bookings. The remainder is payable 8 weeks prior to the rental period. A deposit of £400 is required with final payment. This is returned within 2 - 3 weeks of your return from holiday.
