Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenee within an hour of Carcassonne and Toulouse airports, this luxurious new renovated detached house has all you will need for a relaxing holiday but within easy reach of many activities and attractions closeby. In the summer they include walking, climbing, cycling, swimming, riding, fishing, water sports. In the winter down hill skiing is 20 minutes away in Ax les Thermes. In less than an hour you can visit the duty free principality of Andorra and stock up on duty free goods and half price petrol! The town's restaurants and bars are within walking distance and historical towns such as Foix and Mirepoix are close by car. The famous prehistoric caves and grottos are on the town's doorstep and there are many family attractions to visit in the area such as animal parks and traditional craft centres.

Accessibility

Coast/Beach
The coast at Perpignan is about a 2 hour drive and Narbonne, 1 and a half hours. The Spanish city Of Barcelona is approx a 3 hour drive.
Skiing
Ax le Thermes ski station 20 mins, many other ski stations easily reached. This region of the Pyrenees has ideal skiing for families with uncrowded slopes for all levels of ability. Lift passes in the area are approx half the price of those in Andorra.

Ideally suited for many outdoor activities. Including rock climbing, walking, cycling and watersports.
Travel
Carcassone airport is a 1 hour 10 mins drive where car hire is available (book through Ryanair with Hertz). Toulouse airport is about 1 hour 15 mins to the north. Perpignan and Pau airports are about a 2 hour transfer.
Distances
The centre of Tarascon is a level 10 mins walk. The department capital of Foix is a 15 min drive. The medieval towns of Mirepoix and Montsegur are 30 mins drive.
Further details
The area is renowned for its natural hot spring water and baths and many thermal treatments are available at d'Ussat les Bain and Ax les Thermes.
