Walking distance from the closest beaches. Dozens of beaches within a few kilometres north or south, including many excellent surfing locations.
Travel
Biarritz airport 15 mins by car. St Jean de Luz railway station (TGV to Paris) 5 min walk. Bilbao/Bordeaux/Pau airports all within 2 hours travel and serviced by budget airlines. There is a good local bus and railway service for people who are not driving.

San Sebastian, Pamplona, Bilbao are in easy visting distance.
Biarritz/Bayonne - 20 minutes.
A few kilometres to good mountain walks and typical Basque villages.
A number of different ski stations in France (e.g. Gourette, Irati) or Spain (Candanchu) approx 2 hours by car.
Further details
Parking: there is no dedicated parking spot. There are a couple of parking spaces in front of the property and you can park on the pavement at the entrance to unload. Otherwise you have to mix it in the local streets or in pay and display parking on the port or near the lighthouse. The flat is on the fourth floor and there is no lift. The main bedroom has a low window so you can see the sea while in bed. Care should be taken that young children do not lean out of this window. Excellent Mountain walking in the area. The iconic summit of La Rhune dominates the town and it is well worth a trip to the top to enjoy the immense views. The bay of St Jean is the finest natural harbour in southwest France.
Booking notes
All prices are per week and include gas, electricity and the use of reliable heating when necessary. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking, balance to be paid 1 month prior to arrival.
