'La Simondie' is a delightful and stylish French property dating from the 17th century, it is set in extensive tended gardens, adorned with flowering shrubs and an abundance of flowers. The property is located on a peaceful plateau with views over the adjacent countryside, whilst being just 5km from the lively town of Bergerac and 3.5km from the village of Prigonrieux. The village offers all shops and services necessary as of course does the larger town of Bergerac, which also boasts a wide range of restaurants and a busy weekly open air market. Guests will also find it to be perfectly situated for visiting the ‘Périgord Pourpre’ and tasting the Bergerac and Monbazillac wines, for visiting the ‘Périgord Noir’ and ‘Blanc’ with their numerous châteaux and prehistoric caves. Alternatively one may choose to visit the numerous quaint medieval villages with their winding streets and corner cafés, where one can just sit back and enjoy a refreshingly different pace of life.

Prices are for the property per week in euros. Included in the rental price: 4 hours cleaning, towels and linen and the maintenace of the swimming pool every 2 days. Special offer: prices here shown are for a two week rental except from the 8th september (weekly price).
Changeover day
Saturdays.
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with a double bed. Bedroom 2 with twin beds. Bedroom 3 the biggest one with a double bed and 2 single beds. Cot available. |
| Bathrooms: | One bathroom consisting of a bath with shower attachment, 2 wash basins, large mirror and spot lights. One bathroom, equipped as the 1st one, with a separate toilet on the 1st floor. Toilet on the ground floor for the 2 other rooms. |
| Kitchen: | Arriving in the pretty entrance hallway, guests will find to the right the fully fitted and fully equipped kitchen. Facilities include an electric hob top, oven, microwave oven, coffee machine, dish-washer and all modern necessities. |
| Utility Room: | To the far end of the kitchen is a large utility room with 2 washing machines and a tumble dryer, an additional fridge and freezer and plenty of storage space. |
| Living Rooms: | The entrance also leads through to a larger hallway, off which is the sitting room. This is a delightful room with period flooring of black and white marble, a decorative fireplace, two comfortable settees, arm chairs and large picture windows looking out |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Bed linen and towels may be hired for a small extra cost towels (6 euros per person - bed linen 7.6 euros per bed). A cleaning service may be requested for your departure at a cost of 80 euros. |
Notes on accommodation
The hallway then leads to the back gardens and terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue for enjoying meals in the open air on warm summer evenings. A ping-pong table is also located on site for outdoor entertainment.
Outside
The private pool measures 10x5m and is between 1 and 1.5m in depth. Fully fenced off with security gates for the safety of children, the pool is surrounded by a patio with sunbeds and lines of roses making the countryside view even more enchanting. The private property stretches over 2.5 hectares, with a combination of prairies and woodland which are all maintained by the caretakers who live on the land but are totally independent from the Simondie house. The woodland is kept cleared with pathways for guests to stroll along and binoculars are worth bringing along for discovering the wide varieties of fauna during early morning or evening walks.

About 10km you will find a golf court as well as tennis court.

Nearest airport Bergerac at 10km Bordeaux at 140km.
Distances
Bergerac market town and shops 6km Monbazillac, St Emilion, Fishing lakes, Canoeing 6km, Horse riding 10km, Mountain bike rentals 10km. There are innumerable nature walks all around the area for all levels of enthusiasm! There is a wide variety of restaurants and cafés within a 20km radius which are suited for all tastes. The local tourist Information Office is closeby and can help you plan a programme of sites of interest.
Booking notes
Provisional bookings will be held up to 3 days pending written confirmation accompanied by a non-refundable deposit of 30%. Payment in full is due 8 weeks prior to the date of arrival.
