Wonderful private house, recently refurbished and decorated, the house is very well equiped and has a welcoming ‘home from home’ feel. There are beautiful views across the valley towards La Garde Freinet, a pretty Provencal village less than 3km away. Extensive terraces both covered and uncovered, for sunbathing, dining and relaxing surround the house on three sides and guests enjoy exclusive use of a secluded 10m x 5m pool. The area is well situated to enjoy water sports on the coast, for celebrity spotting in and around St Tropez, cycling, golf, walking and exploring the surrounding villages and towns. The house is well equipped with books, games and videos and the gardens host an abundance of flora and fauna including palms, fresh figs and mulberries, lizards, eagles and the occasional tortoise!

Notes on prices
Prices shown are for the property per week based on an occupancy of 8 people, rates for occupany of 2 to 4 people during low season may be subject to discount. Rates for rentals in excess of 4 weeks may be negotiable. Central heating, linen and towels are included however, an extra charge is payable for logs and pool heating during certain periods.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday and guests are requested to arrive no earlier than 4pm & leave no later than 10am to allow time for cleaning. It may be possible for guests to remain at the house by the pool until later depending upon bookings.

Kitchen: Fitted kitchen with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, American style fridge/freezer with ice dispenser, filter & expresso coffee machine, food mixer, toaster etc. Well equipped with all kitchen necessities.
Utility Room: Washing machine and dryer, iron and ironing board.
Living Rooms: Light open plan sitting room & dining room with an open fireplace in the sitting room, 2 large sofas & armchair, TV, video and DVD player & stereo. The dining area has a table seating 8 & doors opening onto a terrace partially shaded by a large fig tree.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All bed linen is provided and beds will be made up ready for guests arrival. Bathroom towels and pool towels are also provided. The guardians will visit once or twice weekly to service the pool & gardens. Maid service may be arranged if required.

 

Notes on accommodation
The pool is fenced although guests must accept responsibility for their children during their stay and secure the pool. The pool area, painted terrace, BBQ terrace are all at ground level however the rest of the gardens are terraced and access to the boules court is via a short flight of stone steps.

Outside
There are terraces overlooking the valley and the village beyond. The BBQ terrace with built in charcoal BBQ has an outside dining table which comfortably seats 10. The "painted terrace" is within the pool area and has a shaded, cushioned, semi circular seating area and a table tennis table. The "Petit coin" is a smaller terrace with a circular table and umbrella plus access to the outside pool shower room. There is a boules court on the lower terrace. All outside areas and terraces (including the pool) can be lit at night with the exception of the boules court.

Coast/Beach
There are numerous beaches all along the coast, the most famous being Pampellone at St Tropez approx. 30 mins and more at Sainte Maxime. Journey time will vary at different times of the year and the day.

Golf
There are golf courses within easy reach of the house, an 18 hole course in Sainte Maxime (20km) and at Beauvallon, between Sainte Maxime and Grimaud. There are championship courses at St Andreol, La Motte 30km and Barbaroux near Brignole 40km.

Skiing
Isola 2000 is less than 3 hours drive away as is Foux d'Allos (1800 meters high).

Travel
Flights are readily available to Nice 100km approx. 90 mins, Toulon (Hyeres) 50km approx 50 mins (summer flights only) and Marseille 110km approx 90 mins. We recommend that guests arriving by plane hire a car.

Distances
La Garde Freinet is the nearest village approximately 5 minutes drive or 20 minutes walk. Grimaud is approximately 15 minutes by car, Cogolin (famous for pipes) 15km, La Foux 15km, Sainte Maxime 20km and St Tropez village approximately 25km. There are large supermarkets at St Tropez, Cogolin, La Foux and Sainte Maxime.

Further details
There are numerous restaurants and bars in the village plus 2 small supermarkets/green grocers, 2 bakers, 2 butchers, hairdressers, a pharmacie, paper shop and bank with ATM. There are also doctors and a dentist. The village has a typical french market on Wednesdays and Sundays selling fresh produce and local crafts. There is also a small tourist office in the village which can provide details of fetes, festivals and special events happening locally.

Booking notes
A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking the balance is due 6 weeks before you travel. We also request a deposit cheque for £500 to cover any breakages/damage which will be returned to you after your stay. Once a booking is secured we will forward full details of the facilities, directions from your chosen point of arrival in France, keys and security instructions.
