The villa is situated at the edge of a tiny hamlet in the beautiful Ortolo Valley, about 20 minutes from Sartene. It is great for walking, swimming in the river and a recently constructed private swimming pool of 11m x 5.5m, mountain trips and beaches. The house is surrounded by 5000 sq.m. of garden. The nearest beaches are about 40 minutes drive away. The nearest town is Sartene which is twenty minutes drive away.

Changeover day
The changeover days are either Saturday or Sunday as this is when most of the flights from the UK arrive and depart. The house is available after 5pm on the day of arrival and we ask you to vacate the villa by 10am.

Bedrooms: The two double bedrooms have double beds and a wardrobe each. There also bedside tables and reading lamps.
The two single bedrooms have single beds and chests of drawers, bedside tables and reading lamps.
Bathrooms: The bathroom downstairs has a shower, sink and toilet. There is also a chest of drawers. The bathroom upstairs has a bath with a shower attachment and sink. There is a separate WC next to it. Both bathrooms and the small WC are new.
Kitchen: The kitchen is fitted with a gas hob, new John Lewis oven, plus dishwasher, fridge with small freezer. Outside is a really useful barbecue.
Utility Room: The utility room contains a washing machine and a large freezer.
Living Rooms: The open plan dining area has chairs arranged round a large wooden table. Adjoining this is an open plan lounge area with two large sofas and an open fireplace. A TV and DVD can be provided.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Bed linen is included and towels for the bathroom. No towels are provided for the beach or pool. A change of bedlinen will be provided for each week.

Notes on accommodation
All rooms are painted clean white, giving a light airy feel to the accommodation. Plenty of windows with shutters add to the ambient light and comfort.

Outside
The house is surrounded by 5000 sq.m. of garden in which there is a recently constructed private swimming pool of 11 x 5.5m. An exterior built-in barbecue adjoins the kitchen and is really useful in the summer months. Large terraces are outside the houses on both sides and most guests prefer to take some meals al fresco on the kitchen terrace.

Coast/Beach
The white sandy beaches of Portigliolo, Campomoro and Tizzano are about 40 minutes drive away. Stretches of coast and sandy coves are waiting to be discovered.

Travel
The nearest airport is Figari, which is about one hour and fifteen mintues away. Ajaccio aiport is about two hours and fifteen minutes and Bastia three hours drive. The villa is in a very remote area and so car hire is essential.

Distances
The nearest town is Sartene - ' la plus corse des villes corses' - which is twenty minutes drive away. Other towns of interest nearby are Propriano, Bonifacio and Porto Vecchio. The beautiful mountain villages of Levie and Sainte Lucie de Tallano are 30 minutes drive and the mountain of Bavella which is great for walking is a further twenty mintues drive from Levie.

Further details
Water sports, sailing and boat excursions are available from Propriano and there are several equestrian centres nearby.

Booking notes
Please contact us either by telephone, text or e-mail. We will be happy to provide you with more details of the villa and answer any questions you may have. We take an initial payment of 50% of the value of your holiday. Final payment is due six weeks before the start of your stay plus an amount to cover breakages and extra cleaning etc. This extra amount is returned to you after the holiday provided everything is satisfactory. The Villa is available for minimum periods of two weeks per stay.
