The house stands in the middle of a secluded private garden with mature trees and hedges, next to the owner's house. It is south-facing and has an open view on fields. It has been redecorated according to local style, keeping the beams in the downstairs rooms and the fire-place in the living-room. The upstairs bedroom, under the roof, shows the carpentry work and is parqueted, giving it a cosy atmosphere. Parking area and garage at the back of the house.

Changeover day
Letting is from Saturday to Saturday. Arrival 4pm. Departure 10am. Weekends are possible. Days can be altered according to availabilities and the period of year.

Golf course 15km away in Mulsanne inside the car-race circuit.
Travel
Nearest airport Paris-Orly. (2 hours on the motorway). Nearest channel port Caen (2 hours on the motorway A28. exit Ecommoy). Nearest train station Ecommoy 7km. A car is necessary. Sorry, no public transport.
Distances
The house is 25km from Le Mans and 60km from Tours and the Loire Valley. Le Mans is famous for its Car Race but it can also boast of being the Plantegenets' City .The old medieval town is well worth the visit. 25km South of the cottage there is a number of Renaissance chateaux and reputed vineyards. The forest near the house has oak trees planted at the time of Louis XIV. Visitors can walk or ride for miles on its sign-posted tracks.
Further details
Marigné has a very good bakery and a small supermarket selling meat. For main shopping and banks visitors will have to go to Ecommoy (8 km). The area has a number of good restaurants, the most famous one being in the forest (they say the Queen Mother ate there once).
Booking notes
Booking will be done through a 'Gîtes de France' contract. 25% of the total amount of the rent will have to be paid for reservation. The balance will be paid on arrival.
