Welcome to our house in Provence, a classic maison de maitre built in the late 18th Century on the edge of the Medieval "perched" village of Villecroze in the Haut Var. The house is uniquely located to benefit from the convenience of this vibrant and charming village and the immediately surrounding countryside of vineyards, rolling fields and pine forests. A short two minute walk will take you to the center of village with its bakery and café, convenience store and butcher, five restaurants, news agent, post office, two bars and town square. In a few more minutes you will arrive at the village’s tennis club on the edge of a unique local park with natural caves, waterfalls and water gardens. The spacious 350 square metres house is arranged over four-storeys plus a basement (cave) with a sweeping staircase providing views to the enclosed garden and swimming pool and the countryside beyond. It has been extensively renovated in recent years, retaining the original period features.

Notes on prices
Prices are for 8 persons occupying the property per week in euros. For each additional person to a maximum of 10 there is an additional charge of 200 euros.
Changeover day
Preferred changeover day is Saturday, however, please let us know your requirements and we will try to accommodate you.

Cleaning takes place weekly and this cost is additional to weekly rental charge. Linen is included in the cost of the rental. Pool is cleaned 3 times per week. Additional cleaning can be arranged directly with the local property manager. |
Notes on accommodation
The pool is alarmed as is required by French Law, however, children must always be supervised when in the garden.

Closest beaches are 45 minute drive to Les Issambre with sandy coves and rocky outcrops ideal for swimming, sunbathing and snorkelling.

Distances
The Village is ideally located to explore the Haut Var and Lac St. Croix which is 30 min. to the north. The surrounding towns of Tour Tour (6 km), Aups (8 km), Lorgue (10 km), Salerne (5 km), Entrecasteau (10km), Contignac (18 km), are largely unspoilt Provencal towns with thriving local shops and restaurants and a packed programme of markets, arts and events throughout the year and especially during the summer months.
It is equally well located to explore the wider Cote d’Azur and Provence.

Villecroze has a range of local restaurants all within a short walk of the house. News agent and cash machine also located within the village. Markets held in Villecroze on Thursday, and surrounding towns: Lorgue (Tuesday); Salerne (Wednesday and Sunday); Aups (Saturday); Dragignan (Saturday).
