Our cottages are situated 1 km outside of the small village of Millieres standing in 12 acres of unspoilt Normandy countryside but with many attractions nearby such as Golf, Horse riding and the many historical sites this part of France has to offer. The start of the endless sandy beaches of the Atlantic coast are only a short drive away, and the start of the historic landing beaches of 1944 are only 20 minutes by car. The gites are barn conversions which have been tastefully restored and fully modernised. They provide spacious accommodation and open onto their own private 'al fresco' dining area. The beautifully maintained gardens include a small above ground solar heated swimming pool. The private location, is quiet and relaxing and allows children to play in safety.
Only Guide dogs allowed.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds, Saturday to Saturday. Electricity extra by meter reading at end of stay. 140 Euro security deposit payable on arrival. 25% deposit with booking. Balance payable 8 weeks prior to start of holiday. End of stay cleaning charge, Owl/Chestnut 30 euros, Cherrytree 50 euros. 10% discount available on:- Late booking, 2 person winter occupancy, please email for any offers.

Changeover day
Our changeover day is Saturday between April and October. Changeovers outside of this period are flexible.
On changeover day guests should vacate thier cottage by 10.00am. Arrivals not before 4.00pm

All on one floor and wheelchair friendly this cottage is entered from a private patio area into the Kitchen/Dining/Sitting room. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with cooker, washing machine, microwave etc. Dining table for 6 and a highchair. Comfy sofas with English satellite tv, dvd, and radio/CD player. Sofa bed in lounge. All doorways are extra wide. This cottage is also ideal for small children and the elderly.
Large modern wheelchair friendly bathroom with wetroom shower, toilet and basin.
1 double bedroom with cot.
1 twin bedroom.

 

Notes on accommodation
All of our cottages have full electric heating. For children, stair gates are fitted and security chains on all 1st floor windows.
Bed linen and tea towels are provided, but no personal towels.
A welcome pack is provided free. The cottages are prepared to a very high standard. In order to maintain these standards and ensure the cottage is ready for the next guests, a cleaning service is in operation at the end of your stay at an additional charge.

Accessibility
Owl barn has been fully modernised and thoughtfully converted to allow wheelchair access throughout with ramps, widened doorways and a wetroom shower with portable chair. The toilet can be provided with a portable frame, and seat converter.

Outside
The cottages open onto their own private patio areas with furniture and a barbeque overlooking a beautifully maintained courtyard with a child friendly solar heated swimming pool, boules area, and shop. To the rear is a large lawn area for games ect, with swings. Set in a 12 acre private location makes it both quiet and relaxing, and also allows children to play safely.

Coast/Beach
We are situated only 10 minutes away by car from the glorious sandy atlantic beaches overlooked by Jersey, and once there you can explore the many beaches and small villages up and down this gulf stream coast.
You also have the benefit of only being 20 minutes by car from the Normandy landing beaches with their many museums and tourist routes. These beaches and small villages haven't changed much since June 1944, a visit not to be missed.

Golf
We are lucky to have near us many very good golf courses, 8 courses within 1 hour. Our local golf centre is only 10 mins away and it is always peaceful, challenging and very friendly.

Supermarkets, banks and shops are only 5km away.
There is a French market for fresh produce, and to experience french life, every day nearby.

Booking notes
When you book with us a confirmation form will be e mailed to you detailing your holiday. 25% deposit is payable on booking, and the balance is payable 8 weeks prior to start of your holiday.
A 140 Euros security deposit is payable on arrival.
Electricity is extra by meter reading payable at the end of your stay.
There is a cleaning charge.

Guest comments
The peace and tranquillity of the gites was the perfect backdrop to busy days touring the beautiful countryside and poignant Second World War historical sites of Normandy. This region is not to be missed by anyone who has an interest in the Second World War and Bonhommerie is the perfect place to do this from.
