The roof terrace is a real sun trap and can seat 6 comfortably. Cotignac has high class shops to supply every necessity - with a terrific Tuesday market - no need to move at all. Good base for walkers/nature lovers or just chilling. This is the real Provence Profonde! In addition the house is ideal for those house hunting in the area offering short term accommodation. The property may sometimes be available for longer lets - perhaps you have the builders in and want a temporary refuge?

Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. A discount is available for rentals of 2 or 3 weeks and also for a party of two. We can take payment in £ sterling or Euros.
The house is available as a long winter let (November 2009 - March/April 2010). Please telephone the owner for details
Changeover day
Saturday (flexible out of season).
Leave by 10am please and do not arrive before 4pm.

| Living Rooms: | Comfortable living room with with 26 inch flat screen television, satellite and DVD player, also CD player. Land line telephone. Wi Fi broadband free of charge. Attractive fireplace with an efficient wood burning stove. |
| Other: | The roof terrace faces south with magnificent views, it is not overlooked and offers complete privacy. Dining table, seating and an awning are provided. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and linen provided at £15 per person per rental. Please let the owner know if you prefer to bring your own sheets or towels. There is a £50 cleaning charge per rental. |
Notes on accommodation
Electric central heating available (£25 per week) during winter months and cooling fans in each room for the summer. This is a typical village house, steep and uneven stairs make the place a challenge for young children and the elderly! No children under 10 years of age please.

Coast/Beach
Approximately one hour's drive to the coast - lovely beach at Cabasson (near Bormes-les-Mimosas). St Tropez is 80 mins drive.
Golf
Barbaroux near Brignoles is the nearest - 30 mins drive.
St Endreol near Le Muy is about 50 mins drive.
Skiing
Greolieres has been recommended by friends as a 'no frills' resort - its in the hills above Grasse and is around 60 mins drive.
Travel
Fly to Nice (Easy Jet -80 mins drive), Marseilles (Easy Jet -80 mins drive), or Toulon-Hyeres (Ryan Air - 60 mins drive). TGV train to Toulon or Aix-en-Provence - both about 60 mins drive). Our nearest station is Les Arcs (30 mins). Approx 10 hours drive from the channel ports.
Distances
Carces 10 mins. Brignoles 30 mins. Draguignan 40 mins. Villages within easy reach are Aups, Villecroze, Tourtour, Entrecasteaux, Lorgues and Salernes. Aix-en-Provence is 60mins drive - fabulous Picasso/Cezanne exhibition there during Summer 2009.

Good shops, restaurants, a bank and cash machine in Cotignac, nearest large supermarket in Carces, Carrefour in Draguignan, Leclerc in Brignoles and Lidl in Salernes. Lovely swimming in Lac de Ste Croix (40 mins drive) also at Sillans-la-Cascade (12 mins drive) in the 25m pool. Tennis Courts to hire in Cotignac. Abbaye du Thoronet (Cistercian circa 1140) is between Brignoles and Draguignan, Abbaye de la Celle at Brignoles (Royal Benedictine). Pre History Museum at Quinson near Grand Canyon du Verdon - 40 mins drive. Visit Chateau Vauvenargues - home of Picasso - open for the first time in 2009.
