Skiing
Laguiole is the nearest ski-station - 2hrs drive. Very reasonable ski equipment hire - wooded attractive countryside for cross-country ski-ing as well as ski-lifts to slopes. Good restaurants with reasonably priced menus Aligot and famous Auvergne beef a speciality. Reasonable B/B if you should wish to stay for a night or two!

Rodez airport is 45mins - car hire available
Toulouse airport 1hour 15mins - car hire available
Trains run from Villefranche de Rouergue (10 mins) to Toulouse + Paris

River bathing at St. Cirq Lapopie. Nearest markets at Villefranche, St.Antonin, Najac + Limogne. Plenty of antique/flea markets throughout summer. New Ten Pin Bowling complex with restaurant at Villefranche de Rouergue.
