Just a few minutes walk takes you into the pretty village square full of restaurants and shops. 5 minutes the other way are tennis courts and river beach with swimming and canoeing. Golf 5km away. The open plan well equipped kitchen and lounge with log burner lead onto the south facing balcony with tranquil views. Downstairs hosts a twin bedded room and a beautifully refurbished bathroom and hallway leading to a south facing patio. Above the open plan living area there is a newly refurbished double bedroom with en-suite shower room.

Living Rooms: Open plan, featuring wood burning fire set into a stone fireplace .Double French windows opening onto a South facing balcony. Lounge area contains 2 double settees, 6 seater dining table. CD player, electronic organ and good old fashioned board games.

Just 5 mins walk is the river beach at Aubeterre. Royan and The Atlantic Coast is 1 hour 15 mins drive away.

Golf
Le Golf d'Aubeterre is a 9 hole course nearby. At Angouleme and Perigeux there are 18 hole courses both are 45 mins drive away.

Skiing
Only if it snows.

Travel
Bordeaux and Bergerac airports are both just over an hour drive away. These are served by low cost airlines: Easyjet,Ryanair, Flybe and BMI baby. We are 5 hours drive from Caen and 7 - 8 hours from Calais.

Distances
Visit the vineyards at St Emilion 45 mins, the pretty town of Brantome 45 mins. The historic town of Perigeux is worth a visit 60 mins. Cognac the home of Brandy 60 mins. Large supermarkets and bustling street markets are close at hand at Chalais 15 mins and Riberac 20 mins.

Within walking distance there is a butcher, baker, mini market, bank with cashpoint, newsagent, post office, galleries, 2 estate agents, potteries and bric a brac. Choice of up to 7 eating places, bars some with outside seating in the square. Street market Sunday mornings. World famous Monalithic Church which has been hewn out of the cliffs.
