The 17th century farmhouse, which was once a walnut farm, has been tastefully restored - there are two large fireplaces - one in the salon and other in the kitchen. The mature garden has some fine trees and wonderful views across the Dordogne countryside. There are terraces all around the house which catch the sunshine all day long. The pigeonnier pool house overlooks the secluded terrace around the pool which is extremely lovely.

Towels & linen are included. The property is cleaned at the beginning of stay. The towels & linen can be changed each week - 14 euros (£10) extra. Cleaning can be arranged each week @ 30 euros (£20) extra. |
Outside
Large mature garden with two large terraces and lovely views. The private pool is surrounded by a terrace and measures 11m. x 5m. There is a small boules court; plenty of garden furniture - both for dining and relaxing. There is a large barbecue. There is easy access from all areas of the ground floor to the terraces and pool.
Coast/Beach
The coast is approximately 1hr 45mins away. The coast line has fine sandy beaches and the largest sand dune in Europe with pine forests behind.
Golf
There is a golf course approximately 12 minutes away.
Travel
Bergerac airport is approximately 45 mins drive away and Bordeaux airport approximately 1hr 30mins drive away. A car is essential. The drive from Caen to the house takes approximately 5.5 hours.
Distances
The nearest village is 2 minutes drive; Riberac is 10 minutes away; Perigueux is 35 minutes drive; Aubeterre is 15 minutes; and Brantome is 30 minutes drive;
Further details
There are supermarkets; bakers; butchers; banks etc. (and the most wonderful market on Friday) in Riberac which is ten minutes away. Brantome is a must with its abbey and lovely river properties and canoeing there is very good. Aubeterre is another fascinating place with its monolithic church and quaint lanes dominated by a lovely chateau where one can also canoe. There are lovely restaurants in all these places. For those who would like a little excitement there is a small microlight airport just outside our village and you can have just the best view of the area!
Booking notes
After a definite request for a booking via e-mail a booking form will be sent out to be filled out and returned together with a deposit of 10%. The balance is payable one month before the holiday.

Wonderful relaxing holiday with some great days out. Beaches south of Bordeaux definitely worth the effort - Perigueux is a great place for shopping - really enjoyed the street mime - loads of squares with restaurants and cafes - the house is fantastic and the hammock awesome!
