Soleil Riant is a modern chalet within walking distance of the village centre. The chalet faces south providing wonderful views of the Point D'Areu, and the Grand Massif ski-ing area to the north. The chalet is 3 minutes from the village swimming pool and sports hall (with tennis courts), and in summer mountain biking, climbing, riding, walking, parapenting, windsurfing, swimming, fishing and many other activities are possible in the area. Adventure Parks, canoeing, and golf can be reached with a short drive! Sailing is possible on Lake Annecy, or Lake Geneva. The terrace is ideal for spring or summer barbeques.

Golf
Golf courses exist in Flaine (15 minutes drive) and Les Gets (35 minutes drive).
Skiing
Les Carroz is in the Grand Massif ski-ing area. The resort is linked to Flaine, Morillon, Samoens and Sixt. Les Carroz is at 1140m and the top of Flaine 2500m (providing ski-ing throughout the season).
There is a new 8 person telecabine in Les Carroz.

There are two ski schools in Les Carroz - ESF and Nouvelle Dimension. There is plenty of scope for guided off-piste ski-ing. Baby clubs are available in the village (book early).
Travel
Les Carroz is 1 hour 15 mnutes from Geneva Airport.
The driving time from the Channel Tunnel is about 9 hours (all autoroute exept for the last 10 km).
Use of a car is very useful in summer, but not essential in winter (there is a ski-bus stop 50m from the chalet).
Distances
The village centre is 10 minutes on foot.
Cluses is 20 minutes in the car.
Les Gets/Morzine is 40 minutes by car (for ski-ing or mountain biking).
Mont Blanc (by telecabine) is 60 minutes by car and Italy a bit further.
Further details
There is a market in Les Carroz on Tuesdays. There are two small but well-stocked supermarkets (one in summer), three bread shops, a butcher and several banks in the village. There are two Carrefour supermarkets within 25 minutes drive.
The village has over 23 places to eat (fewer in summer) and a cinema. The VTT (mountain biking) week-end in summer is very popular.
