Mas de la Rivi่re, an old Catalan farm, sits on the banks of the river Tet and is surrounded by vineyards and artichoke fields. It is 1km from the traditional Catalan village of Villelongue de la Salanque, 5 minutes from the beach at the modern beach resort of Canet en Roussillon or St. Marie Plage and 10 minutes from the cosmopolitan city of Perpignan. Despite being in a tranquil setting it is very close to the major link roads into Spain, up to the mountains and down the coast and the glorious mediterranean sea. There is an acre of mature gardens and a 12 X 6 m swimming pool, and relaxing pool area for sunbathing, ping pong table, volleyball net, basket ball net etc The houses are fully equipped just like home from home. Internet access is available on site too. The Mas is a very safe place for children to relax and play making it relaxing for parents too! There are beach bars, retauarants and beach clubs with stunning views of the sea and mountains. Beach, sea and mountains..mmmmm!

A four bedroomed villa in the grounds of Mas de la Rivi่re with its own private garden. The house has been recently rebuilt (2005) within the shell of the old stable block from the farm. It is an L shape building with a large garden in front of it with sunloungers, dining table and chairs and BBQ. There is an acre of mature grounds at the Mas with a children's play area and volleyball/badminton net. The house has a double bedroom and shower room with WC at one and and three further bedrooms with a bathroom with WC at the other end. In the middle there is a living room with dining area and kitchen area. The house is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, full sized oven and 4 ring hob, toaster, coffee maker, TV, DVD player and DVD library, satellite TV for English channels, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, books and toys. You really will have everything you may need! The decor is very pleasing to the eye in pale yellow, blue and white.

The house is an L shape with one double bedroom and bathroom at one end and the other three bedrooms and bathroom at the other end. The bedrooms have wardrobes and all the floors are tiled. Both double bedrooms have french windows opening onto the garden so when you make up in the morning you can go straight outside into the lovely sun!

Golf Information: The Mas is situated just about 15 minutes from the St.Cyprien golf course itself only half a mile from the Mediterranean. St.Cyprien has both 18 hole and 9 hole courses. The 18 hole course is par 73 and 6480m. In this Roussillon region there is also the spectacular Domain De Falgos, 18-hole course, par 70 and 5047m, with views overlooking both Mount Canigou in the Pyrenees and also to the Costa Brava in Spain. There are also 9 hole courses at Amelie Les Bains and Camprodon. From the Mas it is only 25 minutes drive to the border with Spain where you can enjoy the CostaBrava courses at Torremirona Golf Club which has 18 holes and is par 72 and 6245m and Peralada Gold Club which has both an 18 and a 9 hole course and is par 71 with a length of 6704m. When you return back to the Mas, you can then enjoy the large pool. The Mas is only 15 minutes drive from the airport.

Further details

Location Information: Villelongue de la Salanque is a very typical Catalan village with not a tourist in sight; you are likely to hear the friendly locals speaking in Catalan. The village has a few shops, post office, bank etc. Canet village is also close by and is very attractive and far more developed with many more amenities. Canet Plage is about 5 minutes drive away by car and is a very large seaside resort with all that has to offer. The beach here is excellent for families as it is sandy and the sea is shallow for a long distance making it safe for young ones to paddle and play. The sandy coast stretches for miles and miles and there is a huge choice of beaches to go to. In contrast to the beach the charming city of Perpignan is only 10 minutes drive away. The Spanish border is only 30 minutes drive away and the ski resorts of the Pyrenees are only 75 minutes drive away. There are masses of interesting gorges and chateaux and fortresses etc. to visit in the mountains. Sun, sea, sand and mountains!
