The property is situated in the beautiful countryside with far reaching views and clean crisp air. It is situated 5 minutes from the bustling town of Mussidan which has all the amenities necessary to enjoy your stay including a Saturday market, supermarkets, lovely restaurants, bank, cinema. The larger picturesque town of Bergerac is only 20 minutes away by car. The 9m x 5m swimming pool has plenty of sunbeds and parasols. A bottle of wine will be waiting for you on arrival. There are plenty of oak beams, and stone walls and the whole property is spacious and comfortably furnished. The pool is fenced and alarmed for safety. The village of Issac has a restaurant/bar/shop run by a lovely French couple. It is 2 minutes by car or if you fancy it : walking or cycling. Internet access is available via our wifi. The houses can be rented apart (4/2 bedrooms) or together (12 pers in gites 1 and 2.: perfect for family or friend reunions!). Please enquire re prices.

Notes on prices
Prices mentioned in the table are for gîte chez Anaïs (4p) per week in EURO. Both gîtes could be rented together or separate. Please email owner for prices gîte chez Loíc (8p) or both gîtes together. Winter or long term lets are available and prices are negotiable depending on numbers of clients and duration of stay.
Changeover day
Changeover days are Saturdays, arriving at 4 pm and departing at 10 am, although we can be flexible.

Notes on accommodation
The gîtes have stone floors and are very cool in the summer time. Fans are available on request.
Accessibility
The property is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Outside
The swimming pool is 9m x 5m and conforms to standard for safety, having a fence and an alarm. Each house has their own BBQ, sunbeds, outside eating table, and parasol. The garden is mostly laid to lawn. Table tennis, jeu de boules, swings, slide, badminton, and many games to entertain your children! Stunning views on the french countryside. Very peaceful and relaxing. Beautifull sunsets. A lot of woods around the house for romantic walks. Also cycling routes. Horse riding and golf nearby.
Coast/Beach
There is a recreational swimming lake which is approximately 20 minutes away. Canoeing on the river is near the house. The nearest beaches are west of Bordeaux, approx 1.5 hours away.
Golf
There are several golf courses nearby.
Special interest holidays
Horse riding, golf, fishing and canoeing nearby. Ideal for walks and cycling.
French language lessons can be organised by owner.
Travel
Bergerac (also airport where you can hire a car) is approx 20 minutes and Bordeaux approx 1 hr 20 minutes on the peage. St Malo is approx 6 hours drive.
Calais 10 hours drive. Car hire is essential.
Distances
The historic town of Sarlat (75 min) is the medieval town of Domme which overlooks the beautiful Dordogne river and has caves to explore. Bordeaux is also worth a visit (60 min). Wine tasting (chateaux de Monbazillac, Route de vins (20 min).. all closeby and worth a visit and taste! Bergerac (20 min) has jazz festivals, lovely cafes and restaurants and a medieval square. Périgueux (30 min) is beautiful. Local markets (10 min) a must-do experience. Our gîtes are situated in between all this.
Further details
In Mussidan which is 5 mins drive, there are banks, wine caves, several large supermarkets, a museum and restaurants. On Saturday mornings, there is a large market selling anything from clothes to cauliflowers.
Many castles, bastides and lovely historical towns may be on your list! All this in combination with a swimming pool at home or a visit at the swimming lake nearby will make your holiday complete!
Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is requested at time of booking, with the balance to be paid 8 weeks before arrival, together with a returnable damage deposit of 150 euro cash.
