Changeover day
The house is let from 5pm Saturday to 10am Saturday.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | There are 2 double and two twin bedrooms. All similar size and suitable for adults. All have excellent views. Furniture is painted pine. |
| Bathrooms: | The bathrooms are newly fitted to a very high standard.2 bathrooms have full size baths and shower attachments on the taps. The other 2 have excellent walk in showers and they all also have double basins and WCs. |
| Kitchen: | The large farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped and has a large table for eating and an open fireplace. A door leads to the main patio and the kitchen also opens directly onto the sitting room. Electric cooker hob, toaster, kettle and fridge. |
| Utility Room: | The utility room is off the kitchen and there is also a separate laundry room. Dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. |
| Living Rooms: | The sitting room has 2 large sofas plus a chair and coffee table. A lovely room to relax and read a book or to play cards or do a jigsaw The sitting Room has a large opening to the kitchen and a doorway to the TV room. |
| Other: | The TV Rooms has two comfortable sofas and an extra chair all free to view Uk programmes are available. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Good quality duvets, towels (including pool towels) and bed linen is provided.All the Linen and towels are changed weekly on Saturday morning. |

Outside
Outside is a large lawned area approx 2 acres with a large fenced pool (13x6m) complete with sunbeds. There is a large terrace off the kitchen with table and chairs for outside eating. The terrace has magnificent view over open countryside as well as overlooking the swimming pool. There is also a BBQ. The whole property is 30 acres mainly of open grassland.
Coast/Beach
About one hour to the coast.
Golf
The nearest golf course is at Ch. Vigier about 30 mins away.
Special interest holidays
In the surrounding woods are miles of walks and bike rides. The area is a haven for wildlife and many species of birds are found in the neighborhood.
There is a games room with table tennis, basketball, darts.
Boules or badminton is also available.
6 to 8 adult bikes are provided free of charge.
Travel
Bergerac airport is 30 mins and Bordeaux is about 1 hour away. A car is essential due to the rural location. Car hire is available at either airport.
Nearest TGV rail station is at Libourne about 40 mins
Other rail station are at Montpon sur Menestrol 20 mins
or St Foy La Grand 20 mins.
The A 89 Motorway is 15 mins from the house.
Distances
Nearest village is St. Méard de Gurçon 5 mins drive away. Here you will find shops to cater for all basic needs, bread groceries, chemist bar, 2 restaurants and filling station. Nearest towns are Montpon and Ste. Foy La Grande 15 mins both these towns have many restaurants hotels bars and hypermarkets.
Further details
Ste. Foy La Grande is particularly attractive being situated on the Dordogne River it is a 13C Bastide town centred around an old market square. The Saturday market here is well worth a visit. The famous wine centre of St Emilion is 30 mins away. Bordeaux is about 60 mins .There are many vineyards nearby both in the Bordeaux and Bergerac wine regions. This is in fact a wine lover's paradise Sauternes, Medoc, Pommerol, Fronsac are all within an easy drive of the property.
