It is nestled into the hills of the Dentelles de Montmirail, a dream for nature lovers, for hiking and biking. The two restored stone-houses can be used individually with separated areas. The property offers a playground, table-tennis, badminton- and boule-place. Only 15 min. walk to the picturesque village of Sablet with all shops and restaurants.

Notes on prices
Prices shown are for the property(s) per week in Euros. Prices include gas, water, electricity (electricity only between may and end of September). There is a cleaning fee of 70 euros for Ermitage, 40 euros for Bergerie, payable to Mrs. Kennet, who cares for everything, on arrival. Linen and towels cost 12 euros per person if required.
Internet-Flat rate costs 10 euros per week. Telefon to western Europe and USA (except Alaska and Hawaii) is free of charge. Both only in Ermitage.

Changeover day
Arrival and departure are normally on Saturday. Departures normally before 10 o'clock a.m., arrival after 3 o'clock p.m. A british lady will welcome and assist you.

Accommodation

Bedrooms: 1st floor: One bedroom with two single beds, one bedroom with a queen sized bed and a sink, one small bedroom with a double bed for one person or two children. One bathroom with bath/shower, WC. Separate WC and sink on the ground floor.
Kitchen and utility room: Well equipped provencal kitchen with cooker, oven, dishwasher and modern appliances; fridge/freezer, washing machine. With dining area under old oak beams with a wooden table for 8 guests and an old fireplace for chilly evenings in spring, autumn or winter.
Living rooms: on the ground floor a comfortable sofa and comfy chair and typical furniture between thick stone walls, on the 1st floor a large landing room with a desk and a day bed. Rooms offer stunning views of the Rhône valley.

Bergerie is accessed via the living room, with a day bed, a nice fire place und typical furniture. There is a staircase leading up to a mezzanine with a double mattress.
To the right, there is a comfortable bedroom with two single beds, one beside the other, with stone walls.
To the left is a bathroom with shower, sink and WC. There is a kitchen with a table for 4 persons directly at the window with a grandiose view.
The kitchen is well equipped with a cooker, oven, fridge. All utensils and china are of good quality.

 

Notes on accommodation
Because of the big stone walls, the houses are well isolated against heat in summer. In winter, they have an electric heating or one can use the fire places, to be heated with wood. There are plenty of books and toys, a baby`s bed and a high chair.

Outside
Each villa has an own charming terrace with garden furniture, overlooking 5 villages in the Rhône valley. There are umbrellas and several romantic places between olive trees, figue trees and rocks. Both houses share the large overflow-swimming pool with streamer, the barbecue, the lawns with badminton area and boule area, table tennis and playground for children.

Coast/Beach
The national park of the Camargue in the Rhône delta with huge sandy beaches, the port city of Marseille and the beautiful coast (les Calanques) with the rocks of Cassis and also the Ardèche river are within a day´s visit.

Travel
Nearest airport: Marseille (120 km mainly autoroute); Nimes (80km, mainly autoroute). Nearest train station: Orange (19km), (Bollène 28km). Nearest TGV-station: Avignon (39km). Car hire is recommended.

Distances
Both houses are a 15 minutes stroll from Sablet through gardens and vineyards or 2 km by car.

The old town Vaison-la-Romaine (9 km) offers a beautiful provencal market on tuesday, roman ruins and a medieval town. The town of Carpentras (19 km) offers all kinds of shops and business. Avignon with the Palais du Pape is a 45-min.-drive, as far as the famous Mont Ventoux, where on a clear day it is possible to see the Mediterranean sea and an impressive view over the Alpes up to the Mont-Blanc

Further details
In Sablet you will find all you need from your breakfast croissants to all the ingredients from its local shops to try your hand at Provencal cooking. A visit to the local wineries is a must to buy your wine directly from the producers. Good family restaurants and an excellent one are in the village, and an abundance of very good restaurants with reasonable prices are within a 15-minutes-drive away.

Booking notes
A deposit of 25% is required upon booking with the balance payable 6 weeks before arrival. A securitiy deposit (e.g. a cheque) of 500 € is required upon arrival and will be returned on the day of departure.
