These village houses are located in the heart of Provence, in the perched or hilltop village of Menerbes. This village, which Peter Mayle wrote about in A Year in Provence, is an exceptionally authentic village in the heart of the Luberon with its hills, vineyards, fruit trees and lavender fields. But it is most famous for its stone architecture and artistic heritage.
Located 40 minutes from Avignon and an hour from the Marseilles airport it offers a superb base for visiting Provence.
The property consists of two small village houses that offer perfect accommodations for a couple or small family. One has a door on the upper street of the village; the other on the lower street of the village. There is a stairway that connects the two when a larger group wants to rent the whole as the Old Stone House.
