Chalet Mandarin is in a superb location in the centre of Morzine only 50 metres from the Super Morzine lift. A mini train can be caught from just around the corner of the chalet to the Pleney lifts and ski school 250 metres away. It is situated in a quiet lane near the main street in Morzine, where there are numerous bars and restaurants to choose from. Summer visitors will find the tennis courts, Skateboard Park, ice rink, swimming pool and wooded riverside walks within 200 metres of the chalet. This 19 century family owned chalet with exposed beams has been modernised, whilst maintaining its original character and charm. The chalet has a spacious living room (38sq m) with kitchenette, separate dining room, well equiped kitchen, drying room and cellar to store boots and skis, TV, video, Hi-Fi and wireless connection. In the summer, you can have your meals on the covered terrace with the occasional passerby wishing you 'bon appetie'.

Notes on prices
There is an inventory deposit of £350, which is returned within ten days of departure, unless there is any damage. All prices include linen, towels, gas, electricity and tourist tax. There is a 5% discount in summer for bookings of two or more consecutive weeks.

Notes on accommodation
There is a cellar to store ski equipment or mountain bikes, and a drying room. The large four bedded room has a set of bunks and two single beds. There is a good selection of French bakeries, supermarkets and wine cellars all within walking distance, and a traditional market once a week. In winter there is a free shuttle bus to other lifts in the Morzine area, and a mini train can be caught from just around the corner from the chalet to the Pleney lifts and the ski school. Transfers from Geneva airport can be arranged. As all the resort facilities are within easy walking distance a car is not necessary to enjoy them.

Morzine is at an altitude of 1000 metres adjacent to the 1800 metre Portes du Soleil skiing area. There are 650km of pistes interconnecting 12 skiing resorts in France and Switzerland (209 ski lifts and 289 slopes). The usual length of the skiing season is from approximately 15th December to 25th April, but heavy snowfalls usually start at the end of December. The area is suitable for skiers of all abilities with gentle nursery slopes towards Pleney and Avoriaz to the World Cup downhill course and the notorious Swiss Wall piste into Switzerland.
In addition to being 50 metres from the Super Morzine lift, a mini train can be caught 50 metres from the chalet to the Pleney lift and the ski school, which are about 250 metres away. Transfers can be arranged to and from Geneva airport. Paragliding and skating are available, and there are night guided toboggan or snowmobile rides and snowshoe walks.

Location Information: Morzine is a picturesque friendly Alpine village, set on the banks of the river Dranse in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps, only a 30 minute drive from Lake Geneva at an altitude of 1000 metres. There are many facilities in Morzine including heated outdoor swimming pools, indoor skating rink, Skateboard Park, tennis courts, riding stables, dry toboggan run and Indiana Adventure Park. Canoeing and white water rafting are available downstream on the river Dranse. There is a 9 hole golf course at Avoriaz, and a challenging 18 hole course at Les Gets with views of Mont Blanc. Attractions further afield include the dramatic Pont du Diable Gorge, boat trips on Lake Geneva, the medieval port of Yvoire, day trips to Annecy or the Chamonix glacier and the Aguille du Midi.
