This is a completely restored, classic early 1900s villa with an enviable position overlooking Menton, close to the border with Italy. It sits in a residential area with superb views of the sea and port, surrounded by exotic Mediterranean flora and fauna. Walking downhill, you can reach the sandy beach and port in 5 minutes, or the old town in 10 minutes, both with a selection of restaurants and cafes; but as you wine and dine and soak up the delightful atmosphere, remember the walk back home is uphill - or you can hail a taxi of course! The Italian border is only 800 yards away, so you may prefer a stroll into Italy. Friday is a large, popular market day in Ventimiglia. In the early 1900s many English aristocrats built houses in Menton because of its favourable climate and many of these wonderful villas are now open to the public.
