Recently renovated stone petite maison. Full of french character, we are situated within a secluded and tranquil hamlet of the haute vienne region, on the border with the correze and dordogne departments, only ten kilometers from the medieval town of saint yrieix la perche. Coussac bonneval is our nearest village only five km away with its magnificent chateau which can be seen from all directions. Located within a peaceful and beautiful area of this region, we have stunning views over the surrounding limousin countryside. If you enjoy cycling, serious walking, or just rambling along on a lazy sunny afternoon, then you’ll be spoilt for choice with the extensive country lanes to explore just outside your front door. Our life is here, so we will be around to meet you, and can help in any way to make sure you get the most out of your stay here. We have eight acres of grounds to explore or relax in, with a private lake and picnic area.

Changeover day
Changeover day is Saturday. The petite maison is available from 4pm and we ask that guests depart by 10am. We may be flexible, but only by prior arrangement.

Notes on accommodation
The petite maison offers ideal accommodation for people or families who enjoy an outside lifestyle. Although petite, it comfortably sleeps four and is big in French character and charm. Set close to our own home, but benefiting from its own private veranda which captures the sun from early morning coffee through to late afternoon aperitifs.
Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchairs. Ground floor shower room, WC and basin.
Outside
Private veranda with table, chairs and barbecue. Garden area and eight acres of grounds to enjoy. We mow a pathway through the meadow of wild flowers from the house down to the lake and picnic area. This really is a secluded and tranquil area that you could happily spend all day relaxing in and only a short stroll from your accommodation.
Coast/Beach
There are many first class beach and swimming lakes within a fifteen minute drive, offering a large range of activities from diving platforms, pedelos, canoeing and waterskiing, plus cafes and restaurants. One of the largest lakes in France, Lake Vassiviere which covers nearly 2500 acres offers the opportunity of a great day out.
Golf
South of Limoges, St Lazare Golf Club (18 holes), North East of Limoges, Porcelaine Celiroux (18 holes), St Medard d'Excideuil, Golf Public de Perigueux (18 holes)
Travel
Limoges airport is an easy 40 minute drive. Brive approx 1hr. The ferry ports of northern France are about 7hrs away, while Saint Malo is approx 6hrs. Driving in France is really quite a pleasant experience, with excellent motorways and very little traffic.
Distances
Just over 5km to Coussac Bonneval, nearest village. Boulangerie, Boucherie, two small shops for provisions and a choice of three restaurants. 10km to Saint Yrieix la Perche, the medieval town offering a range of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants, market twice a month, plus new sports complex. 19km to Segur le Chateau. One of the prettiest villages in France with its enchantingly historic buildings, picturesque river flowing through and its alluringly entertaining night market.

A deposit of 25% is required to secure your holiday. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to your arrival. Cancellation fees: The cost of cancelling more than 6 wks prior to the arrival date is the deposit. Cost of cancelling less than 6 wks prior to arrival is 100% total.
Included in the cost:-Electric, Gas, Mains Water, Linen & Towels. During winter lets, wood for the burner is also included.
