The apartment is situated in a small and secluded complex with two swimming pools, a tennis court and allocated parking space. It has a large south facing terrace and covered loggia with table and chairs for outdoor dining and offers stunning views of the Provencal hills. Terrace leads out into private garden. You can walk through woods and vineyards to the village (approx. 15 mins). The surrounding area is covered with vineyards as this is a notable wine region. Two public golf courses are within easy drive. The nearby Carces lake is popular with fishermen, whilst the Gorges du Verdon (largest in Europe) are about 40 mins away with beaches, sailing, white water rafting, climbing etc. Carces is an ideal location for exploring inland Provence whilst still being accessible to the coast.

Prices show the weekly or daily rate in Euros. Second week discount on standard rate: 15%.
Mid-week short breaks (3 nights min stay) and long winter lets available, please enquire.
From 1 November to 30 April inclusive, heating charges (as metered) will be added to the rental fees.

Changeover day
Changeover day in summer is Saturday. The rest of the year is flexible. We ask you to arrive after 4pm and to vacate the apartment by 10am in order to allow cleaners time to prepare the apartment.

Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, oven, 2 ring stove, microwave and dishwasher.
Living Rooms: The living area is open plan with the kitchen and has a wood burning fireplace. It has a double sofa bed and leads onto the terrace and private garden with views of the hills.

Bed linen provided inclusive of the price. Please bring your own towels. Cleaning charge of 50 euros to be left on departure.

Outside
Large south facing terrace with covered loggia for outdoor dining (table and chairs) leading out into private garden. There are two swimming pools (one for children), a tennis court, table tennis and petanque. The gardens are laid out in traditional Provencal style, with pine and eucalyptus trees.

Coast/Beach
The closest beach is 45 minutes away by car. Carces lies 15 minutes off the A8 motorway which gives easy acces to the beaches of St. Tropez, Ste. Maxime or St. Raphael. Lovely swimming in the Lac de Sainte Croix 45 minutes to the North near the dramatic Verdon canyon.

Golf
The South of France has some of Europe's most beautiful and well-maintained golf courses. Green fees are reasonable for such a sought-after area and usually no membership is required. The 18 holes golf course of Barbaroux, one of Europe's most prestigious courses, is 20 minutes away in Brignoles. There are several other good golf courses in the area.

Skiing
There is good skiing in winter about 3 hours' drive at Isola 2000 and other less well known resorts a similar distance away. Details available on request.

Nearby activities include walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, climbing, canoeing, white water rafting etc.

Travel
Marseille and Toulon airports are both 60 minutes away by car, Nice is 75 minutes away. Good motorway connections to Brignoles (A8) which is 15 minutes away from the property. The closest train stations for the TGV are Marseille (60 minutes) or Aix-en-Provence (45 minutes). Car hire is essential to get around.

St. Tropez: 50 miles (73 km).
Aix-en-Provence: 50 miles (75 km).

Further details
Carces offers all the required amenities (banks, post office, bakers, doctors, chemist, a well stocked supermarket, several shops for local produce, art galleries and restaurants). The Var offers beautiful landscapes with mountains and hills covered with vineyards, pine forests, olive groves and lavender fields.
Other attractive villages like Aups, Cotignac, Entrecasteaux, Lorgues, Salernes, Villecroze and Tourtour are just a short drive away.

Booking notes
Bookings are made by bank transfer. A non-refundable deposit of 200 euros is payable at the time of booking to confirm your required dates. The remainder is payable 8 weeks before arrival. Full payment is required for bookings made less than 8 weeks before arrival. A refundable security deposit of 200 euros (or 150 GBP) is required and will be refunded within 7-10 days after departure less any breakages or damages.
