The cottage has everything you need for a family holiday, Situated in a quiet hamlet at the end of a long private drive, it is a safe environment for children. On the site of a former Napoleonic chateau with magnificent old trees and beautiful barns containing old wine vats. The cottage has its own large lawn area great for children to play or for sunbathing. There are magnificent views of surrounding vineyards and beautiful countryside beyond. Shops and restaurants are within 6kms and swimming lakes and Bastide towns and markets are nearby. Easily accessible are Pyrenees Mountains and the lovely Atlantic surfing beaches. British owners live discretely on site and maintain high standards. There is electric heating plus a wood burning fire.

Notes on prices
For a stay of three weeks or more a deduction is possible. In winter any heating required will be charged for at the rate for whatever is used ie wood or electric.
the low season price of £200 is for two people and a supplement may be charged for more than two people. For mid and hign season the price remains the same for 6 people or less.
Changeover day
In the summer months changeover day is Saturday. At other times we can be more flexible. Short stays and weekends are possible.

Notes on accommodation
We are 6km from all amenities ideally situated for exploring the Gers and Jazz Festival at Marciac. The cot high chair fans and electric heating are available on request. Any heating required would be quoted for seperatly.
Accessibility
I very much regret that my property would not be suitable for people with mobility problems.
Outside
There are many country lanes to explore free of traffic. Beautiful grapevines to walk around in the evenings. 5kms to nearest shops, restaurants, markets and swimming lakes. About 30 minutes from the famous Marciac Jazz festival held in August. One and a half hours from the Pyrenees Mountains and Atlantic coast.
Coast/Beach
The property is about one and a half hours drive fom the beautiful Atlantic surfing beaches, ideal for a day trip.
Golf
We are about 20 mins drive from the nearest 18 hole golf course at Guinlet, Eauze which has a swimming pool and restaurant.
Skiing
It's about one and a half hours drive to the nearest ski resort.
Special interest holidays
Perfect clear night skies wonderful for Astronomy. Pony rides near by. Ideal for Jazz Festival at Marciac every August.
Travel
Nearest airport Pau about 70km. You can also fly to Biaritz Toulouse or Bordeaux. You can get to us from any of the channel ferry ports or the Tunnel. A car is essential.
Distances
The property is in a small hamlet about 6kms from Nogaro. Both have cafés, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. There are many markets nearby and in the summer months inexspensive festivals and evenings with entertainment in the area. Very popular is the latin festival in Vic Fezensac, Country and Western festival in Mirande and last but not least the famous Jazz festival in Marciac. You are idealy situated for visitng the many chateaux. Visit the Fete de Cote Saint Mont.

Booking notes
Summer rental rates include bed linen towels and tea towels. A deposit of 30% is payable on booking, the balance is due 6weeks before arrival. A returnable security damage deposit of £150 is required with the balance or 200 euros paid in cash on arrival. This is to cover any damage to the property house or contents. Please do not forget your damage deposit entry may be refused and credit cards are not accepted.

Unique benefits of the property
The benefits of staying at this property is the beautiful countryside and being able to walk around the grapevines that surround it. Being able to let your children run free in the huge amount of space without worrying about their safety. Going to my French neighbours in the village and trying her home made wine, armagnac, floc and pousse rapier and being able to walk back. Its not every day you get to stay at a former vineyard and all the character remains. Perfect clear skies for watching the stars.
