Coast/Beach
Two leisure lakes with sandy beaches are within 20 mins drive. Lake of St Pardoux has three beach areas all water sports available (sailing, canoeing, water skiing) + bars/restaurants at each beach area. Boat owners can launch their own boats. The Lake at Bessines sur Gartemps has canoes for rent and a snack bar in the trees.

2 golf courses, approx within 30 mins drive.
Travel
Limoges Bellegarde airport is 35 mins drive from the Gite and car hire is available at the airport. The Gite is approx 400 miles from Calais, all via motorway. Driving time is 6 hours plus stops. Train from Paris to Limoges is 2 hours and car hire is available at the station. Car is required at the Gite.
Distances
Roman town of Chateauponsac is about a mile form the Gite.
Historic city of Limoges, famous for its porcelain 30 mins drive.
Further details
Fishing is available on numerous lakes and local rivers (The River Gartemps is within walking distance). Canoeing and horse riding are also available locally. The area is ideal for walking and biking.
All local amenities are available at Chateauponsac.
