Akaslompolo is a quiet and friendly village with very helpful shop-keepers and safari organisers. The atmosphere here is quite and relaxing, even though it is home to Santa!.The ski slopes are reasonably quiet and at times you may be the only skier on them! Snow boarding is also very popular here with there own slopes with everything that a snowboarder would expect.The area is becoming more popular due to shorter skiing times elsewhere in Europe and has a new gondola ski lift. Levi, its sister village is a short drive away and well worth a visit. Akaslompolo offers hundreds of kilometers of cross-country ski trails with maps available from the local stores. Equipment hire is easy and well priced for all types of outdoor activities, both winter and summer. The local rivers and lakes offer very good fishing and sailing. White water rafting, pony riding, mountain bikes and guided nature treks are available and within the Yllas area.

| Kitchen: | Cooker and hob. Dishwasher. coffee machine. Fridge freezer. |
| Living Rooms: | The downstairs is open living offering a good sized lounge area, dinning and kitchen. You can also relax upstairs on the futons. Both living areas have a TV. |
| Other: | There is a clothes drying cupboard in the main entrance hall to the cabin and the use of ski-waxing room is in front of the cabin in the main outbuilding of the carpark. The cabin has its own heated car parking facility. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and linen are provided in the price of your stay and the cabin will be clean upon your arrival. Additional mid-week cleaning is available at an extra cost on request. We can not provide bed linen for the travel cot. |
