About the Owner

We moved to this house 20 years ago with two young daughters. The girls have now grown up and left but love to return for those home comforts! Peter is head chef and Sally procures, designs and makes all the interior furnishings. The property is actually two cottages made into one with a luxuriously converted barn in the garden.
Country walks and nearby pubs make this an ideal location for a relaxing weekend or longer stay.

Year property purchased: 1991

Why this location?

The best location in the Cotswolds. It is easy to get to Oxford or Cheltenham and London is just over an hour away.

What are the unique benefits of the property?

Beautiful walks can be made from the cottage taking in pubs for lunch or stopping to watch the cricket in the next village. Follow the river back to Burford and enjoy the wildlife along the way. Many guests remark about the quietness at night and how they are undisturbed by traffic noise. Although in the peace of the countryside you are never too far away from pubs, shops and restaurants. Cotswold Wildlife Park is only ten minutes drive and Blenheim Palace can be reached within half an hour of driving through luscious scenery.
