Ocean Studios has a beautiful sub tropical private garden and sun terrace overlooking the sea, and St Michael's Mount. Indulge yourself in the warm gentle bubbles of our hot spa tub. Wide doorways, no steps, this ground floor accommodation enables easy level access to all our facilities, including private guest parking. Complementary items include Welcome tray with tea, coffee and Cornish biscuits. Beds made on arrival, bath hand and tea towels, inclusive electricity, central heating and use of hot tub, toilet rolls and dish washer tablets.

Changeover day
In the peak season unless otherwise specified Saturday is arrival and departure day, arrival from 4PM and departure by 10AM. Off season Short breaks are available from October until April and changeover days are dictated by duration of booking.
Notes on accommodation
Both Apartments maybe booked to accommodate upto 7 guests using Large comfortable sofa bed and z bed please check the Tariff page on the Ocean Studios website for prices, availability can be checked for corresponding vacant weeks on this site. Minimum rental period is 7 nights. Inividually the apartments are available for short 3 night breaks when not specified as 7 nights. Please check our website (shown below) for deals and late availability.
Accessibility
The Bay View studio is ideal for people with mobility problems as it is all located on the ground floor. It has smooth easy access from the car park to a purpose built ramp on to the sun terrace decking. This studio has wide walkways and a wet room with a fold away shower chair and wc in suite. The kitchen has a wider aisle to accommodate wheel chair users.
Outside
Outside both studios, through the French doors lies the sun terrace decking,
leading to the lawn and sub tropical borders, both studios have their own garden furniture and parasols for those really hot days. Relax in the jacuzzi hot tub overlooking the ocean and St Michaels mount in the evening with a glass of wine.
Coast/Beach
Marazion beaches are within a few hundred yards of the ocean studios, and are some of the cleanest in Europe and offer shallow and safe bathing. Parts of the beach are a haven for wind and kite surfing and rental and tuition is available locally.
Golf
There are several golf courses to suit all handicaps, from 5 to 30 minutes drive including Praa Sands 2.5 miles, to Mullion and Cape Cornwall about twenty miles and several more in between.
Special interest holidays
The Ocean Studios is the ideal location for birdwatchers with Marazion nature reserve and the fabulous coastline on our doorstep. Tranquility and space lends itself to those with an artistic bent even in the gardens the incredible vista over the bay and the ocean offer spectacular subject matter. For those anglers among us a plethora of hot spots both sea and coarse fishing is within minutes.
Travel
Marazion is 4 miles from all services including, Isles of Scilly Heliport, Scillonian III docks in Penzance, Penzance Train and bus station, local car rental is within 2 miles. Marazion has a good bus service connecting regularly with Penzance, St Ives, Truro and destinations towards the Lizard point, including the 300 which is an open topped bus tour around Lands End showcasing the rugged granite coastline.
Distances
We are situated in the heart of Marazion Village and local shops, restaurants, galleries and beaches are a couple of minutes on foot. Local super markets are within 2-3 miles but the village has a mini-market, bakers, convenience store and shops that sell sundries etc. The picturesque St ives is 10 miles away, Lands End is 13 miles, The Stunning Eden project is 30 miles away. The Minack Theatre is about 15 miles away and offers the most spectacular open air theatre experience.
Further details
Marazion village has several shops and services including Post Office with free ATM, Cobble corner also has an ATM that is convenient when the Post office is shut. Newspapers may be ordered from Cobble corner and they supply a range of sundry items and basic food items eggs, bread, butter, canned and dried goods as well as wine, beer and spirits and tobacco. there are a several good eateries within a short walk or drive and information packs are available for guests to peruse in both studios.

All deposits need to be paid 8 weeks prior to stay(where circumstance dictates), Deposit is 1/3rd and Full balance should be paid 8 weeks prior to stay (where circumstance dictates) payments may be made via bank / International bank transfer, Cheque is acceptable if clearing 2 weeks prior to stay.

Hi I'm Heather. I first encountered Mounts Bay House in 2003 whilst looking for a new home and was blown away by the views and tranquility of the location. Originally bed and breakfast accommodation, total remodelling took place in 2006 and "The Ocean Studios" were born. Stylish, elegant apartments on the doorstep of the beautiful and brutal Atlantic Ocean I have been in tourist accommodation for 25 years and love the feedback recieved about the location and surrounding area. It has been my constant aim to provide my guests with as much information as possible in relaxing comfortable contemporary lodgings.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
The Atlantic rolls upto within a hundred yards of the sub-tropical grounds which offer inspiring unhindered views of Mounts Bay, from the Lizard point to Lands End and encompassing St Michaels Mount an ancient 14th Century Benedictine castle which sits in the middle of the bay accessible at low tide by a cobbled causeway 5 minutes walk From the Ocean Studios.
Safe clean sandy beaches stretch away at low tide and are ideal for bathing as the water is shallow and warm.
There are many galleries and restaurants within easy walking distance that provide local seafood from picturesqe Newlyn. Every day offers a different spectacular view, from stunning blue skies to dramatic storms rolling in from the horizon that pound granite cliffs in this unspoiled corner of England.
