Outside
The Rear Garden is small.. but private. With some plants..
The Park at the front of the house is an ideal place to sit in the sun. There are also grass areas along the river 1min walk away or so.. you can sit on these and have a picnic.
We do supply some Picnic Blankets.. We can also arrange Picnic Baskets or Sandwiches. Traffic is very limited in The Royal Arsenal, the speed limit is 5mph (8kph), most of the area is Pedestrian only.
As mentioned previously.. we can assist with arranging dinners, cocktail parties etc at our Beautiful Hall which can be made available for family or business.
21 Gun Salute Fired from Parade Square near house on Queens Birthday.
Coast/Beach
Although the Thames is a river..by this point the tidal movement is so large the water is as much sea as river. Walking along the river path you sometimes feel it's more sea.. especially at Galleons Reach. So where the coast stops.. is a grey area. If its definition is where the tidal movement ceases.. this is definitely the coast.
The Thames Barrier..is London's attempt to stop the sea..
Do Not Attempt to Swim or Walk on the Mud.. Extremely Strong Currents..Quicksand..and Fast Tide.
Golf
Blackheath Golf Club.
Skiing
Skiing is presently available a short boat ride away (1 stop) at the O2 Dome.. all the necessary equipment can be hired. A short run.. but entertaining all the same.

Further details
If you wish to grab a quick snack the town centre has plenty of Cafe's. You can get a really good meal at our local Tai Tap Chinese starting at less than £4 for a Main Course..and it is an immense serving..enough for two,possibly.. Also all major UK banks are in the High St.
If you want fruit..the market 3mins walk 6days a week.. is one of the few remaining 'real markets' in London.
A sports centre is just along the river 'The Waterfront' but most people find walking around London exercise enough. Entry to the smaller on-site gym can be arranged.
We may be able to provide some guidance with regards to visiting London. We can send you Links to Websites that may be of some help..especially with regard to local travel and events. We have some actual experience having given personal guided tours and we speak several languages. French,Spanish,Italian,Russian..and possibly some more.
Cars in London.. it can be hard work to drive into the centre of London.. the Congestion Charge..£8 per day.. finding parking, the cost and the fines..if you get one can become very expensive..and if they tow your car..
Motorcycles in London.. Using Motorcycles & Cycles to get around London ourselves..we think its normal.. but for those that are not City Bikers..it can be lively. Nothing quite like fifty bikes leaving the traffic lights at the same time... There is parking provision for Bikes in London.. but the explosion in their use means the parking capacity has not yet caught up..
It is much less Hectic at weekends.. We generally think it's worth doing.. but you must always Lock it.. We can supply extra locks/chain.
Brighton is a nice day out from London on a Bike..
Cyclists can take their bikes on the Boat up to Westminster.. but they may change this. We have made further enquiries and will update their position. We are also looking at supplying bikes at the house..
The Tour de France went past the end of the road..quickly..
