For peace, quiet and fantastic views, both the unique house with it's integral glazed barnroom and the ground floor, south facing cottage can not be surpassed. The cottage has it's own seperate private entrance + sun terrace. The whole property is situated in an acre of wildflower meadow.There is a BBQ and Firepit for 10. Brimming with light and filled with views, Colmers View House and Cottage are comfortable, light, open-plan and eco-friendly. You might think you are in the middle of nowhere, but infact just 3 miles down the lane is the vibrant market town of Bridport and beaches are 4 miles away. Lyme Regis and WEYMOUTH -30 min.drive. . The semi-detached, self-catering cottage is suitable for children and has Mobility access. Sorry, no pets allowed and no smoking. The Weekend Guardian newspaper called Colmers View House 'one of the Top 20 Rural Escapes in Britain'. It is a Creative Retreat see Arts workshops on website. Perfect for- Olympic and paraolympic sailing in Weymouth

The Jurassic coast, Lyme Bay / Chesil Beach. There are many varied beaches within 4 or 5 miles. 10 mins drive,20 mins by bike. Some wild beaches + S.W. coast path. The area is a designated Area of Outstanding Beauty.

Further details
This area is famous for great local food, much of which is organic. Bridport market is on Saturday mornings. There is a great deal of choice here - good pubs and restaurants, fresh market produce and fish. The previous TV series of 'River Cottage HQ' was filmed at the farm next door. Bridport is famous for food, it's beaches, arts and crafts. Visits to nearby historic houses and gardens. Cycling in unspoilt countryside, walking the coast path or relaxing on beaches. There is wind surfing, gliding, waterskiing and sailing. Horse riding and golf. As well as farm shops, fishmongers and vegetable growers selling fantastic local produce.
