Skippers is a privately owned family holiday home, full of those personal touches and furnished and maintained to a high standard that comfortably sleeps 5. There is a private courtyard to the side of the five cottages with Skippers owning one garage and space for a second car immediately outside the garage. As parking is a premium in Swanage, if visiters have two cars, then one MUST be inside the garage where you will find a good selection of beach toys, airbeds etc, all of which we are happy for you to use.
Many of our visisters return to Skippers again and again, and as it is such a short and easy walk down to the shops and the sandy bay, you may find you do not need to use the car at all. Look out for one of the few remaining Punch and Judy shows during the summer months, and a trip on the last remaining paddle steamer in operation, The Waverley, is highly recommended. Look out for sailing times beside Swanage Pier.

Changeover day
Bookings are only from Sat-Sat. Guests are asked to depart by 11am and the key may be obtained from 2pm onward on arrival day.
Accommodation
| Bedrooms: | Bedroom 1 with double bed. Bedroom 2 with antique single (3') four-poster bed. Bedroom 3 with pair of single (3') divan beds. |
| Bathrooms: | Family bathroom with a shower within the bath. The bathroom was completely renewed in 2007. |
| Kitchen: | Fridge; freezer; washing machine; microwave oven; electric oven, gas hob etc. There is a pine table seating five in the kitchen. |
| Living Rooms: | Comfortable and well furnished lounge with settees, TV, video player and DVD player with a library of children's tapes and a wide selection of DVD films. CD player etc. |
| Other: | There is a small conservatory off the lounge with seating for three, which in turn leads to a small patio garden with outside eating area. If you like to relax with a good book, there is a wide selection of books throughout Skippers. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
All beds have duvets and feather pillows, and can be made up on arrival as an optional extra. Towels and tea-towels are not included. |
Notes on accommodation
Skippers is a two-storey cottage, with the double and single bedroom on the first floor and the twin bedroom, bathroom and boxroom where we keep the ironing board, games etc., on the second floor. There is also a W.C., on the ground floor and parking for 2 cars - one inside the garage, and one immediately outside - invaluable in Swanage.

Outside
Skippers only has a small patio garden at the rear, which nevertheless, is quite secluded and very much a sun-trap.
There is a table and chairs for outside dining.
Coast/Beach
Swanage prides itself on being an old-fashioned seaside town which offers a beautifully safe and sandy bay which is ideal for children. Nearby, the Studland peninsular owned by the National Trust, offers a two mile sandy beach backed by dunes on one side, and the spectacular Poole harbour on the other. Swanage also has its own privately owned steam railway with trips to nearby Corfe Castle. Lots of interesting places to visit in easy reach.
Golf
There is probably one of the most scenically beautiful golf courses at nearby Studland.
Distances
Bournemouth, Poole, Corfe Castle, Wareham, Weymouth are all within easy reach of Swanage, and it's fun, when making your way there from Poole, to drive on to the chain ferry at Sandbanks and come via Studland.
