Stay on a working farm in luxury! We are a beef farm and have converted some redundant stone barns into 3 fantastic oak beamed cottages with modern facilities throughout, all finished to an exceptional standard. Nestled below Crooks Peak on the edge of the Somerset Mendips Hills and amidst Somerset's famous cider making an Cheddar strawberry growing area, the cottages form an 'L' shaped courtyard which is next to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. As a family farm there is opportunity to see the animals a experience at close hand 'life on the farm'. We also have our own river frontage on the River Axe for private fishing! The cottages are an ideal base for visits to many nearby attractions including Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, historic Wells an Glastonbury, Longleat Safari Park, Weston-super-Mare and cities of Bristol and Bath. Outdoor pursuits such as fishing, walking, horse riding and golf can all be catered for & cottage guests have use of the Webbington Hotel Spa's facilities.

Notes on prices
2012 Weekly Tariffs Low Season: Golightly £350, Kitty £310 & Tiarks £330. Med Season: Golightly £560, Kitty £420 & Tiarks £499. High Season: Golightly £799, Kitty £599 & Tiarks £689. 2 night breaks: Golightly £300-£375, Kitty £250-£300 & Tiarks £275 to £365. 3 night breaks: Golightly £340-£390, Kitty £300-£350 & Tiarks £320-£370. Rates include all power, bed linen, towels (not swimming), use of BBQ, garden, welcome pack and some day passes are provided to use at Webbington Spa.
Changeover day
Changeover days are Friday or Saturday. Outside main school holidays changeover days are more flexible. 2, 3 and 4 night breaks are available outside main school holidays.

Kitty cottage is a brand new conversion, has full central heating throughout and is decorated in a contemporary style. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, electric oven/hob and microwave. The lounge/dining area has leather suites, wide screen TV with FreeSat, Midi HiFi, DVD, a sound system and Wifi. There are 2 bedrooms which consist of 1 double & 1 twin. Each bedroom has a radio/alarm clock with iPod docking station. The bathroom has a 'P' bath/shower, shaver point, toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail. Directly outside the cottage is a large patio area equipped with individual outdoor furniture. The large, communal and enclosed gardens, BBQ area and children's activity play area are located across the courtyard. There is also ample area for children to play football etc. |

Tiarks cottage is a brand new conversion, has full central heating throughout & is decorated in a contemporary style. As it is located on one floor it is more suitable for the less mobile with its own private patio. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, electric oven/hob & microwave. The lounge/dining area has leather suites, wide screen TV with FreeSat, Midi HiFi, DVD, a sound system & Wifi. There are 2 bedrooms which consist of 1 double bed & 1 twin. There is also a large double sofa bed in the lounge area. Each bedroom has a radio/alarm clock with iPod docking station. The bathroom has a 'P' bath/shower, shaver point, toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail. Directly outside the cottage is a large patio area equipped with individual outdoor furniture. The large, communal and enclosed gardens, BBQ area and children's activity play area are located across the courtyard. There is also ample area for children to play football etc. |

Notes on accommodation
The self catering rate includes all bedlinen, towels, power, a Somerset welcome pack, use of the garden, children's play area and also use of the nearby Webbington Hotel and Spa's leisure facilities (indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym and tennis courts). All cottages are suitable for children and travel cots and high chairs are available on requests. Guests are required to bring their bedlinen and pillows for the travel cots.
A professional chef can be arranged to cook you a meal in your cottage or leave you with a meal for you to eat at your leisure. A mobile beautician can also provide treatments according to your requirements in the cottages as well. Babysitting can be arranged if adequate notice given.
Accessibility
There is ample parking. Tiarks cottage is located on one level so is suitable for the less mobile.
Outside
Directly outside the cottage is a large patio area equipped with individual outdoor furniture. The large, communal and enclosed gardens, BBQ area and children's activity play area are located across the courtyard. There is also ample area for children to play football etc. All cottage guests have use of the nearby Webbington Hotel and spa's leisure facilities (indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym and tennis courts).
Coast/Beach
The cottages are located 6 miles from Weston-super-Mare Beach and 9 miles from Burnham-on-Sea beach. Both of these are home to the famous Trapnell donkeys.
Golf
Mendip Springs Golf Club, Isle of Wedmore Golf Club, Burnham-on-Sea and Berrow Gold Club are all located within 10-15 minutes from the holiday cottages.
Skiing
Avon Ski and Action Centre is approximately 10 minutes away from the cottages by car. Facilities include dry ski slope, tobogganing slope, snowboarding, mountain boarding, climbing and abseiling, quad biking, 4 x 4 driving, skateboarding and power kiting.
Special interest holidays
Clay pigeon shooting - 15 minutes away.
Outdoor activity pursuits - 10 minutes away - rock climbing, abseiling etc
Travel
Bristol airport is 10 miles away from the cottages. Weston-super-Mare train station is 6 miles away from the cottages. There are direct trains from Paddington to Weston-super-Mare. The next nearest train station is Bristol Temple Meads which is 20 miles away from the cottages.
Distances
The nearest villages are Winscombe (3 miles) and Cheddar (4 miles). The nearest towns are Weston-super-Mare (5 miles), Bristol (20 miles), Bath (30 miles), Taunton (20 miles). Distance to places of interest are - Cheddar 5 minutes, Wookey Hole 20 minutes, Wells 25 minutes, Glastonbury 25 minutes and Longleat/Exeter 1 hour.
Further details
Winscombe and Cheddar have a supermarket, private local stores, banks, florists, newsagents, hairdressers, chemist and opticians. There is an excellent pub called The Woodborough Inn at Winscombe and there are a variety of restaurants in Cheddar. Both have a selection of take aways as well.
Booking notes
When a booking is taking a booking form needs to be completed/signed and returned with 40% deposit. The balance is due for payment 6 weeks prior to arrival. If you stay is within 6 weeks of arrival full payment is due upon booking. A £100 cautionary deposit cheque is also required which is not encashed but held in case of any damages and returned upon departure.

A perfect holiday Tony & Lisa Lancashire Date of Stay: August 2009 We have just returned from a very enjoyable week in Tiarks. The cottage is absolutely perfect, I could not believe that we weren't the first people to stay there. Everything is pristine & the the furnishings are luxurious. The owners have thought of everything even Iphone charger clock/radios by the side of the beds! Our children loved the idea of being on the farm & were keen to see the calves being fed. Mark was more than willing to take us to see cows being milked or even fed in the fields although we were never back from our travels in time! Julie/Mark are very hospitable, they will do all they can to ensure you have a great time & are always available if you need anything at all. Tiarks suited us really well, the private patio was useful for the kids to play although they normally headed over to the large garden to play on the climbing frame. Another plus was having the Webbington hotel just next door to visit.

About the owner
Webbington Farm Holiday Cottages are owned and run by the Amesbury family. Mark and Julie live on site with their family in the main farmhouse and run the family beef farm.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Webbington Farm was purchased in the late 1930s by Mark's Grandfather. The farm moved from being a dairy farmer to a beef farm 4 years ago and the redundant buildings in the courtyard have been restored to 3 holiday cottages - Golightly, Kitty & Tiarks.
Mark and Julie are Somerset born and bred and love this county for it's diversity, being rural but also never to far from a town, restaurants, pubs or tourist attractions. Somerset has so much to offer.
Unique benefits of the property
The 3 cottages can accommodate up to 16 guests and are excellent for family gatherings and celebrations. A chef and beautician can be arranged to make your stay very special. All rates include all power, bedlinen, towels, use of the garden, children's play area and BBQ. Cottage guests have complimentary use of the Webbington Hotel's Leisure Club facilities (indoor pool, sauna, steam room, tennis courts and gym). WiFi, playstation and a selection of DVDs and games are provided in each cottage. As we are a beef farm, guests are welcome to see the calves fed with milk in the morning or go out and see the older animals in the fields. We also have river frontage for fishing! As we live on site we personally greet guests and are here to make your stay a most memorable and happy experience.
