Sunny Ridge is a large, newly equipped apartment on the first and second floors of a spacious detached 1920s house with ample parking and superb views down over the village to the championship golf course, Bolt Tail headland and the sea. Thurlestone is a very special Devon village to which people return year after year, and generation after generation. It offers so much - 5 beaches, superb surfing at Bantham, cliff top golf, tennis (children's coaching and summer tournaments), 13th Century Church, thatched cottages, Village Inn pub serving good beer and good food, Post Office and shop, cliff and country walks - all set in an area of outstanding natural beauty near to both Kingsbridge and Salcombe.

Not suitable for anyone with mobility problems as Front Door is on first floor and reached by outside staircase.

Enclosed garden, table, chairs. Swing ball. Table tennis in garage. Ample parking.

Coast/Beach
Thurlestone has 3 beaches, Leas Foot, Yarmer and Broadsands, all adjacent to the Golf course, the first is by the Club House so just 3 mins by car or 10 mins walk and the other 2 only accessible by foot and also 10 mins walk.
Bantham is a totally unspoilt large sandy beach renowned for swimming, sand castles and surfing 5 mins by car, 15 mins walk.

Thurlestone Sands is a large National Trust sandy beach, 8 mins by car, 25 mins walk, swimming, surfing - and very popular for rock pooling!

Golf
Thurlestone is a well known championship, cliff top course - just 3 mins by car, 10 mins walk. Also a 9 hole Par 3 course at the 4 * Thurlestone Hotel which is open to non-residents. Bigbury Golf Club is 20-30 mins by car, depending on the tide and Dartmouth Golf and Country Club 25 mins.

Travel
Use of Car essential. 1 hour from Exeter airport.

Distances
4 miles to Kingsbridge, 5 miles to Salcombe, 15 miles to Dartmoor, 17 miles to Plymouth.

Further details
National Trust properties with easy reach: Overbecks, Coleton Fishacre, Saltram, Cotehele, Lanhydrock and long stretches of local sections of S W coastal path.
National Marine Aquarium at Plymouth. Pennywell Family Farm for children.

Many other family attractions close by including otter sanctuary, steam railway, Woodlands Amusement park with all weather activities.

Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan both within a day's excursion. Surf school at Bigbury. Board hire at Thurlestone Sands. Fantastic sailing at Salcombe. Excellent coastal and estuary bird-watching. Many great local restaurants and interesting shops in Kinsgbridge, Salcombe and around. Thurlestone is in delivery area for very good takeaway restaurants in Kingsbridge.

Booking notes
For bookings made more than 6 weeks before arrival, a deposit of 25% of the holiday price is required. A contract is deemed to have been made after the receipt of the deposit and confirmation of the booking. Insurance is therefore recommended. The balance is due 6 weeks before the holiday date without further demand.
