There are numerous bars, restaurants, gastro pubs, theatres, galleries, sports and activities. Lots of excellent 'days out' for all the family. With the convenience of the town at the door combined with the opportunity to explore both city and countryside locally and further afield. Located in a prominent elevated, location in a tranquil residential road, Ravensprings is without doubt a unique, period house offering grand, spacious yet homely accommodation. Off-road parking for up to 4 vehicles. The house is very comfortably furnished for up to 16 people. It has mainly antique furniture and lots of period features which makes the house homely yet special. Prices include, linen for up to 16 guests, Central heating, Sky TV, BT Broadband and booking cancellation insurance.

Notes on accommodation
Used as the location for a spooky version of Alice in Wonderland; Ravensprings just oozes character enjoying unique period features. A favourite with children and adults alike the huge, handsome sitting room is ideal for parties and reunions. The bedrooms are pretty unique and carefully furnished for your comfort and convenience. No room is the same and all are a very comfortable size. The sleeping arrangements are varied and fairly adaptable for different ages. There are 2 central heating boilers as well as an open fire in the sitting room so you should not feel cold. With 3 bathrooms, an en suite shower room and downstairs cloakroom you will be spoiled for choice!
Outside there is a safe fenced play area for children with swings and trampoline. There is also off road parking for up to 4 vehicles and plenty of onroad parking for more. With views of the countryside from the top floor and pizzas delivered to your door Ravensprings makes a marvellous retreat to come home to.
Accessibility
Due to the age of this period property there is not much amenity for those unable to cope with the challenge of stairs and sadly all bedrooms are up a fairly steep flight.
Outside
Ravensprings enjoys a Corner Location. The well-kept garden surrounds the property and is set on a variety of levels. There is a safe, enclosed play area with swings and trampoline; a rear courtyard which is ideal as a barbeque area with plenty of seats for visitors, also there is a lower secluded front garden. Seating at the front enjoys a suntrap location.
Coast/Beach
1hr 20 mins to the East Coast with dramatic scenery and lovely sandy beaches. 1hr 20 mins to the West Coast including Blackpool for a total contrast and lots of fun.
Golf
Crow's Nest Park under a mile away 9 holes par 70 Golf Club. Willow Valley under 2 miles with 50 holes and 24 Driving Bays. Lightcliffe Golf Club. Hudderfield Golf Course the list goes on. There are 20 golf courses within 8 miles of the house!
Skiing
Escape - houses the longest indoor snow slope in Europe and is about 40mins drive from Ravensprings.
Travel
Leeds/ Bradford Airport is only 12mls away approx 30mins drive. Manchester is around 25 mls approx. 45 mins away by motorway. Brighouse Station is within a mile from the house, and there is a bus stop at the end of the road.

Brighouse is a small town just off of the M62 it has a host of shops, restuartants bars and a large Tesco’s and Sainsburys' just a mile from the house. There are numerous good country pubs and restaurants within a 15 minute drive. Set only 2 miles from the M62 it occupies a commanding position and is ideal for family reunions, large group, celebrations and touring holidays. Its' easy access from the M1/M62/M6 and central location makes it the ideal place to explore Yorkshire: The Yorkshire Dales and Yorkshire Moors offer fabulous scenery and hundreds of miles of footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes, including the famous Coast to Coast route, just 20 miles from your door. Only 25 minutes drive is Bronte Country and the renowned home of the literary sisters, Howarth. You can visit 'Last of the Summer Wine' country at Holmfirth - the village where the sitcom was filmed is just 15 minutes from the house. The artist-writer community at Hebden Bridge is only 20 minutes drive. While the stunning stately home of Harewood House, with its marvellous gardens and paintings is just 30 minutes from this beautiful abode. Only a short drive away are the Dales and Moors with their fabulous scenery and miles of walking, riding, cycling etc., about 25 mins drive from Hawarth; Bronte Country, 20mins from Hebden Bridge, locally there are numerous restaurants, lovely pubs with excellent menus, bars, nightclubs, art galleries, theatres, stately homes, film & TV locations (Last of the Summers Wine at Holmfirth), 7 Golf Courses within 7 miles!, Heritage centres, Historical museums, Canal; barge hire, horse riding; you are literally spoiled for choice with plenty to occupy the whole family. Only 20 mins from Leeds City Centre by car, 45 mins from Manchester City Centre, 30 minutes from the Leeds/Bradford Airport it makes an ideal base for touring.
Booking notes
Please ask for a reservation for 2 days if you think you want to book a certain date to avoid disappointment. Initial deposit per week £400 - £500. Long weekend £300. Balance payable 10 weeks before your stay this is covered by a booking cancellation insurance included in your initial deposit.
