About the owner
Richard and Carol Sykes moved to Healey Mill in November 2011, taking over these lovely properties from the previous owners, Tim and Diane Fathers. We have lived and worked in various locations around the world, spending the last 13 years near the lovely town of Marlborough in Wiltshire. But Richard always wanted to return to his roots in Yorkshire. Many people look to downsize as they get older, but we have taken a different view, moving to a larger house to be closer to our family, who will eventually move in with us and take over the business. Carol's first job is to get on friendly terms with the ducks and chickens and once all the boxes are unpacked, she will look to play an active role in the community. Fortunately the pantomime isn't until February!
