We have furnished the house to a very high standard including extras such as wireless Internet access, essential baby equipment such as a cot and highchair and complimentary toiletries. There is an allocated parking space with further on-street parking in the area.

The English Riviera and boasts a stunning 22 mile coastline, excellent beaches, unparalleled scenery and a milder climate. A hundred yards away from Beach Mews is Ilsham Woods and beach, through which the South West Coast path runs. A stroll through these woods will give you spectacular views of Torbay, Thatcher Rock and lead you to Ilsham valley green, and Wellswood village. With its "Blue Flag" beach, rural aspect and also being close to town this is the best place in Torquay to stay!

Travel
Torbay is served by a main railway line, the M5 motorway to Exeter, airports in both Exeter and Plymouth, a main sea port in Plymouth together with an international marina in Torquay and 3 harbours at Brixham, Paignton and Torquay.
By Road - Take the M4 from West or East of the country to the M5 going south from Bristol . Follow the M5 south, then at Exeter (90 miles from Bristol) take the A380 dual carriageway to Newton Abbot and Torquay.

Distances
A 15 min walk up & over the hill will get you the heart of the town & the harbour which is lined with cafes, bars and restaurants; a great place to watch the world go by. From here, take a pleasant stroll along the marina with the area’s trademark palm trees, or hop on a boat for a cruise across the bay or round to Dartmouth. The Living Coasts, The Princess Theatre and Pavilion shops are also here. Beach Mews is just 200 yeards from meadfoot beach, a blue flag beach.

Beach Mews visitors are only 50 yards from Hesketh Crescent, an impressive & inspiring example of Grade II Regency architecture. There are several restaurants situated in the Crescent where you can enjoy a meal. There is Langtry's, a more formal 'a la carte' restaurant, The Brasserie, a Mediterranean style cafe bar and The Terrace, a wonderful outdoor space where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the bay and is open between spring to early autumn. The health club is also located in the Crescent.

About the owner
Beach Mews has been owned for 5 years by George and Margaret Sevenoaks. We ourselves live in Torquay, and always endeavour to be there to meet and welcome our guests. I am a registered Nurse, originally from Sheffield and trained at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield and have had a wonderful career from sister at the National Heart Hospital, Night Sister at Edgeware General Hospital, to the present where I still work part-time as a nurse. My husband George was a London Black Cab driver. We semi retired to Torquay and Beach Mews is our Pride and joy, We pride ourselves on its cleanliness, style and we try our very best to ensure everything is perfect for our guests to relax and enjoy their holiday in this beautiful part of Torquay.
