This large Victorian cottage provides privacy in the heart of Wellswood. Close to beaches, shops, Torquay Harbour and Kents Cavern; Silvan Lodge is an ideal holiday destination. Rated with 3 Southwest Tourism rosettes guests can be sure of a high standard of accommodation. Bed linen & towels are provided as standard and prices include all utilities. A travel cot, high chair & temporary child gate are also available for guests use. Many of our guests return year after year. Silvan Lodge can be booked all year round. Check in day is Saturday by after 3.00pm. Silvan Lodge is also available for short breaks.

We discount 20% for late availability bookings, and short breaks. The minimum cost for a short break is £160.

Saturdays check in after 3.00pm check out is by 9.00am.

Silvan Lodge front garden has a picket fence and is laid to lawn on one side. There is a table & 6 chairs available for guests use and a whirligig washing line & pegs.

Your nearest beach is Anstey's Cove (15 minute walk) Maddison Beach, Babbacombe & Oddicombe beaches are all about a 10 minute drive away. Torquay beaches are sandy and wide with shallow water, perfect for young children.
Golf
Babbacombe golf course is 2 miles away from Silvan Lodge enjoying sea views of Torquay headland.
Special interest holidays
Agatha Christie fans will love Torquay museum and Kents Cavern which feature murder mystery tours. Don't miss Babbacombe miniature village or the Cliff top steam railway ride. Also a must do for toddlers is the Dartmouth Steam Railway which has seasonal themed tours, pick up the fullsized steam express from Paignton railway station. There's lots of auqua fun to be had at Quaywest Torquay and also Living Costs exhibition at Torquay Harbour. Paignton zoo supports educational tours for children.

Your nearest airport is in Exeter and is about 35 miles away from Torquay. The nearest railway station is Torquay railway station.
Distances
There is a Spa shop just 5 minutes walk from Silvan Lodge as is Wellswood village. Torquay harbour is 10 minutes walk down the hill as are Union Street shops.
