The cottage is in the heart of Crackington Haven with stunning sea and rural views. It is full of character with an original slate floor which has underfloor heating,beams and a wood burner. Downstairs the cottage is open plan with a new,stylish kitchen, sitting and dining area. The kitchen has a dishwasher, hob and oven, microwave, Belfast style sink and fridge freezer. The sitting area has views to the front courtyard framed by sixteenth century barns and the rear patio doors leads on to a safe and secluded garden with views down to the sea from the garden. Upstairs has two beautifully decorated and designed bedrooms. One double bedroom with twin bedrooms in the second bedroom. The cottage is presented to a very high standard throughout and is well maintained and kept throughout the year. The cottage is lovely to stay in all year with each season offering something special. Notes on accommodation
The property is highly suitable for children with many special facilities for children including cot, changing mats, bath mats, sun tents, games, blenders, children's cutlery plates and cups. Recently refurbished to a very high standard.

Outside
The cottage has a safe and secluded garden with a stunning raised patio with views to the sea. There is a barbecue, outdoor furniture, sun chairs and plenty of outdoor games for children. There is also a front garden and enclosed courtyard.

Coast/Beach
Crackington Haven has a lovely, safe beach which is flanked by dramatic cliffs on each side. It has a number of rock pools to explore, is great for surfing and swimming. It takes 1 minute to drive to the beach and is roughly a 20 minute walk.

Golf
Nearest Golf Course - 20 mins at Bude overlooking the sea

Travel
Nearest airports are Newquay and Exeter. It is a one hour drive from Plymouth Port.

Distances
20 minutes drive to Bude, Padstow and Camelford. One hour's drive to the Eden project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

About the owner
Tim Mercer works in London and lives with his wife, Samantha and two children in Wimbledon. Tim spent the first 20 years of his life in North Cornwall and has many happy childhood memories of the beautiful beach at Crackington Haven.

Year purchased: 2004

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought the cottage to be near to family in Cornwall, to use as a home for family holidays and for surfing with our two young boys.

Unique benefits of the property
Naturally I am biased but I do believe the bay at Crackington is one of the most beautiful on the Cornish coast and an absolute delight for children. The cottage is gorgeous and in a great location for exploring all of Cornwall. Rain or shine, we always leave feeling refreshed and rested.
