Located in a Victorian building, the apartment overlooks a very nice and quiet garden on its north-eastern side where the bedrooms are orientated, for a very comfortable nights sleep. The interiors, with antique furniture and warm coloured Roman blind fabric, welcomes every guest in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The manager, Mrs Marietta, a kind and helpful person, will be at your side for any need. Within five mins walk you can reach fine restaurants, bars and pubs, as well as two local supermarkets on the corner, including post-office and newsagent, while climbing to the upper end of Victoria Rise, with a short and pleasant walk, you are in the beautiful green open space of Clapham Common where the Northern Line tube station (Clapham Common) is also located. The apartment is easily connected with Gatwick Airport, arriving and departing from Clapham Junction, 5 minutes from the apartment, by bus (77, 87, 345) (see Travel description below).

Changeover day
Changeover day is flexible. The Manager Mrs Marietta K. will do everything she can to help and accommodate you. However is preferred not to arrive after 10 pm, although a special agreement can be obtained by email contact, in advance.

Notes on accommodation
Single heating (combi system) with instant hot water production to avoid any limitation of hot water. The boiler can be regulated either in the hot water, or in the heating position, both with timer control or 24 hours of continuos heating. The main thermostat is positioned on the wall of the living room, where the internal temperature of the house can be set. The apartment offer the possibility of a travelling cot for children.

The flat is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Travel
The apartment is located 4 bus stops from Clapham Junction Railway Station where you arrive and depart from/to Gatwick Airport (20 mins. by train). At your arrival at Clapham Junction, take bus 87 (direction Aldwych) on your sidewalk, just outside the station and get off at bus stop 'Victoria Rise'.
If you come from Stansted Apt., take Victoria Line Underground from Tottenham Hale to Vauxhall and then bus 87 or 77 from platform G, direction Wandsworth and get off at bus stop 'Cedars Road'.
Distances
The apartment has very good facilities with buses and metro (Northern line from Clapham Common). Frequent bus services towards Battersea, King’s Road and Chelsea (bus 345) (use this bus for South Kensington and all the big museums); Sloane Square, Knightsbridge, Hyde Park Corner, Marble Arch and Oxford Circus (bus 137); Clapham Junction, Westminster, Trafalgar Square (National Gallery), Charing Cross Rd (bus 87), Waterloo Railway St. and the London Eye (bus 77) and Portobello Market (bus 452).

We recommend the following restaurants located in the area or nearby, reachable by bus: Café Zia in the corner of your street Victoria Rise with Wandsworth Rd (indian restaurant); The Ceylon Tavern 103 Lavander Hill, by foot 10 mins fron the apt. (sri lankan cuisine); Chimes, 26 Churton St. Pimlico London SW1 (typical english cuisine with a selection of nice farm ciders).
For a every-day food shopping, please visit your Local Sainsbury's located on the corner of Wandsworth Rd and Queenstown Rd ) (300 meters from home); for your weekly food shopping we recommend the main Sainsbury's on the Wandsworth Rd, towards Vauxhall bridge. You can take bus 77 or 87 leaving from the Victoria Rise bus stop towards Waterloo and Aldwych, getting off after 6 stops.
For a bit of 'extravaganza' pop in the shop Eclectica, between the restaurant Cafè Zia and the newsagent: the shop is run by Sam a very nice and charmy chap and offers a nice selection of retro and vintage clothes, lamps, memorabilia, CDs, records and DVDs... for a bit of tasty London freedom!
Finally, please don't forget to buy and use the Oyster card, the cheapest way to travel around London. Oyster card is a magnetic card which you can top up at your discretion in any tube station or at any newsagent and is valid either on the tube, or on the bus. Oyster card can be bought near the apartment in Wandsworth Rd, at the Borough News Agent run by the helpful Patel family.
Booking notes
Your minimum stay is 4 nights. A 20% of deposit must be paid at time of booking (by bank transfer in UK pounds, euro, or PayPal). The balance will be paid at your arrival in the apartment in £ cash. No security deposit is needed, since we trust your behaviour, unless eventual damage.
Is very important that every guest will contact Mrs. Marietta by email or telephone to arrange for pick up the keys. Further details will be given once the apartment will be booked.
