The house sleeps 7/9 and consists of 3 large double bedrooms, plus double sofa bed in the snug and travel cot on request. One with a king size bed, en-suite shower and sea views, one with a double bed, en-suite shower and sea views. The third bedroom has three single beds with family bathroom ie bath with with shower, basin and wc. Also a seperate toilet and laundry room on this floor.

Changeover day
Saturday is the change over day, arrival after 3pm and departure by 10am.
This is flexable at Christmas and New Year depending on what day of the week they fall.
Mid week breaks are available during Autumn Winter and Spring.

Notes on accommodation
The house is very light and airie and just 10yds from Harbour front and small beach at low Tide, there are few pavements in mevegissy as streets are narrow.The front door has a small step up into the house, there is no step at back door.The house is over 3 floors, children do not have a problem with the stairs, there is a stair gate if needed. Car parks within 500 yards of house and cost between £25 and £30 per week, the house is surrounded by good restaurants and pub restaurants children welcome everywhere. The Sharksfin in the harbour has bi-fold doors that are opened on to the harbour front, good food (childrens menu) served all day, if you dont want to eat you can relax on a comfortable sofa with tea coffee or maybe something abit stronger from the bar they serve a good selection of wines spirits and ales. The Fountain Inn is the oldest pub in Meva near the post office, they have a small eating area at steet level and a larger restaurant upstairs and they also have wifi.
Outside
Stones throw was not affected by the recent floods in Mevagissey.

Coast/Beach
Mevagissey is surrounded by beautiful beaches along walkable coastal paths, if you do not want to walk Mevagissey has its own small beach in the harbour for the fit walk up the left hand side to the top follow the footpath to beautiful Polstreath beach (steps down) or over the top of Polkirthill and down to Portmellon beach, a coastal walk to Chapel Point beach, keep on walking to Gorran Haven Beach, catch sight of Seals Dolphins or Baskng sharks (not a walk for toddlers or buggies) or drive.
Golf
There are many beautiful golf courses running along cliff tops with amazing sea views, or head inland if you dont fancy the challenge of driving your ball straight out to sea but short enough to hit the green and on a windy day knowing that you must hit a longer distance allowing for the wind to turn the ball back inland and onto the green... Challenge on!

Along the cliff path from Gorran Haven is Vault Beach about !/2 mile of sand and sea (take food and drink) vault can be accessed via National Trust car park & footpath walk.
The very beautiful Caerhays castle in amazing gardens protected from the sea by a wonderful sandy beach, in the opposite direction spend some time in the Tall Ships Harbour in Charlestown used as filmset 7 miles away with its fish smokery and shipwreck museum, 11 miles from meva the tropical blooms of the Eden Project.

The perfect Cornish fishing village 15 minutes drive from St Austell with is winding cobbled streets and a harbour full of fishing boats. There are stunning coast walks from the harbour in both directions, with steps down to sandy beaches, high cliffs and many hidden coves to explore. If walking is not your thing take the Mevagissey-Fowey Ferry boat over to Fowey boasting approximately 50 mins of coastal views of beaches coves and caves and often accompanied by Dolphins, Basking sharks. Sams Bistro Restaurant Fowey in my opinion sells the best, largest homemade burgers also chicken, steak lasagne and when in season a fresh seafood menu ie bouillabaisse, lobster, bream, skate, mussles, surf and turf, The Bistro is cosy and does not take bookings, they are open till the last customer leaves, if you want lunch get there early it gets very busy from then on (you may have to share a table with a film or TV celeb) as many live in Fowey. The stunning coastline, fabulous beaches and renowned gardens of the beautiful Roseland Peninsula are a short drive down the coast while Truro with its shop, restaurants, theatre and cathedral can be reached by car in half an hour. Fishing is also available from outer harbour wall and fishing trips are available from the harbour. Water sports and teaching school ie wind surfing, kayaking, scuba diving, many wrecks to be explored approx 3 miles. If you need to bring your lap top free Wifi in the large open plan Sharksfin Restaurant/bar with its Bi Fold doors opening onto the harbour views and comfortable sofas and chairs is a great place to spend some chill out time with the family or on your own be it tea, coffee a well stocked bar plus a good menu and atmosphere, the sharksfin is opening for 2009 a large Carvery. Mevagissey village has an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants all within a hundred yards of the house,also a 10 minute drive takes you to The Lost Gardens Of Heligan. Approx 25miutes to the Eden Project, 30 minutes Truro.
