A large cottage by bay standards, Cliff Royd has recently been fully refurbished and interior designed to an exceptional standard. The cottage is situated in the heart of the of this quaint old seaside village, just 3 miles south of Whitby. The village has numerous good quality places to eat and nearby shops. There are 3 pubs within the village all less than 2 minutes walk from the cottage. High quality furnishings are found throughout the cottage making Cliff Royd extremely comfortable for your holiday. Robin Hoods Bay has some steep hills and steps, the cottage has 2 flights of steps internally. Please contact the owner if you have concerns about mobility.
Outside
The cottage has wonderful sea views from every window and there is a roof terrace with small patio set and stunning views of the beach and sea.
Coast/Beach
The beach is a few seconds walk away and has large sandy areas, some rocky parts that are fantastic for rock pooling. There are donkey rides in season and the beech has been awarded blue flag status.
Travel
Newcastle airport is approx 1 hours drive and Leeds Bradford airport is approx 1.5 hours drive. There is a train station at Whitby which is a 5 minute drive away and also at Scarborough which is around 20 mins drive,

3 miles south of Whitby. 20 miles north of Scarborough.

There are good local shops within 2 mins walk and 3 pubs within the same distance. Numerous places to eat within a 2 minute walk, and fine dining at Greens Restaurant, Cross Butts and the Beehive are within 10 mins drive.
