We fell in love with the view! Our contemporary beach-house style property is a light, spacious seaside home with spectacular views and an unbeatable location. We are right on the South West coast path and close to a sandy surf beach, so ideally located for a beach/surfing or walking holiday. The property sleeps a maximum 6 adults in 3 double bedrooms (although an extra child can be accommodated in the 2nd bedroom) and is best suited to a family or 2 - 3 couples. The 2 reception rooms open onto a large sea-facing deck in front and private, sunny 80 ft garden at the back with tables, seating and loungers - perfect for outdoor relaxation. Regret we are unable to accommodate pets.

Notes on accommodation
The property is designed for one family or 2 - 3 couples. Babies and children are welcome, although please note that the front garden is not fully enclosed, so young children will need to be supervised while on the front deck. We regret no pets allowed.

Accessibility
The cottage is on one level and suitable for those with mobility difficulties, but due to a few steps at the front door and uneven ground in the garden, it is not wheelchair friendly.
Outside
The front garden faces the sea and consists of a large wooden deck, pebbles and grasses - reminiscent of a pebble beach. It is west-facing and sunny from late morning onwards, with a large 4-seater bench for seating - this is the perfect spot for enjoying the panoramic sea views and amazing sunsets. The back garden is lawned and south-facing. It has direct access to walking paths and views towards farmland and distant countryside. Picnic tables, seating, additional folding chairs, loungers, a parasol and barbecue are provided. There is a courtyard and patio with hanging space for wetsuits.
Coast/Beach
We are right on the coast with the South West coast path just metres from the front door. There are some great beaches nearby: Widemouth Bay (just a 2 minute drive or 20 minute walk away) has 2 family surf beaches with surf hire and life guards; and there are several beaches and a sea water swimming pool at Bude. There are many other wonderful beaches further afield.
Golf
There is a golf course in Bude (5 minutes away by car).
Travel
Exeter airport - 75 minutes drive; Newquay airport - 60 minutes drive. There is a local bus which can be used to get to Bude or to the beach, but a car is highly recommended.

Only a few miles to Bude.
Further details
Other than its magnificent beach, Widemouth Bay itself has 2 beach cafe’s, a great local pub with restaurant, garden and sea views; and a local shop selling freshly caught fish, crab and lobster. There is also a restaurant with a growing reputation situated a short walk from the property (5 min. along the coast path). Bude is an attractive Cornish seaside town with a harbour and canal, a few cafe’s/restaurants (one in particular which we highly recommend), some good local produce suppliers (including organic) and 3 major supermarkets. There are a few decent boutiques/clothes stores, several good ‘serious’ surf equipment suppliers and plenty of ‘bucket-and-spade’ type shops selling inexpensive beach/surf gear. Several major banks are represented.
