White Rose Lodge is in a lovely quiet area of Sandwich, within walking distance of the town centre where you will find many restaurants and shops. We have a very lovely large garden where guests may relax with a pot of tea and home made scones or in the conservatory if preferred. We have plenty of off road parking space at the front of the house. A very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere awaits you here. We also have a beauty salon within the house where guest may book a variety of treatments.

Accommodation
Notes on accommodation
All beds have beautiful bed linen and towels are provided. There is also a tea tray with coffee/tea/hot chocolate etc in each bedroom A range of toiletries are available for guests to use in the beautiful italian marble shower room & fabulous bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. Guests do not share facilities and have private use of the bathroom and shower room. Sky TV is available in the larger double and the twin and Freeview is available in the smaller double. Wifi is also available.
Accessibility
Unfortunately, this property is unsuitable for wheelchair users as all bedroom are upstairs. We have an access statement available for disabled guests.
Outside
The garden is lovely with garden furniture, loungers. We have a small orchard and fresh fruit from our trees is served for breakfast when in season. Our hot tub is in a lovely secluded area of the garden and generally 38C and may be used by our guests. Why not combine this with a lovely massage in my in house salon? There is plenty of off road parking at the front of the house.
Coast/Beach
Sandwich Bay is our nearest beach but there is a toll road leading down to it with a £5 charge. It is a very lovely walk across the golf links and along the river. The best beaches are in Ramsgate/Margate and Broadstairs. Deal also has a beach which is stoney, these towns are all within 6/7 miles of White Rose Lodge. There are some lovely walks along the "white cliffs". If you prefer to cycle, cycles can be hired locally.
Golf
Royal St George's and Princes Golf Courses are only a 5 min drive away. 2011 British Open is to be held at Royal St. Georges Golf Club.
Special interest holidays
For a relaxing short break our beauty salon is available to guests. The owner of the B&B is also a trained beauty and holistic therapist. We offer aromatherapy massage / reflexology / waxing / facials / manicure / pedicure / Indian Head massage/special occasion makeup. The services of a hairdresser can also be booked. There is a hot tub in a secluded and idyllic part of the garden which guests may also use. Perhaps relax and unwind after a day on the golf course with a lovely Jacuzzi and massage.
Travel
We are 10 miles from Dover/15 miles from Folkestone channel tunnel and 5 miles from Ramsgate ferry terminal. 2hr drive from Gatwick airport.
Distances
Canterbury our main city is 13 miles away. Trains to London run from Sandwich and they take 2 hrs. Ramsgate / Margate / Broadstairs / Deal are all about 5-8 miles away. Hythe another "cinque port" is 25 miles.
Further details
We have a lovely selection of small interesting shops in Sandwich and we have an Art Deco Cinema which is a "must see" showing all the latest films. The main high street Banks can be found in the town centre. There are many restaurants/takeaways and pubs where you can eat and a small supermarket. Sandwich is a medieval town dating back to the Domesday Book and you can find out about this and an interesting town trail by visiting the local tourist information office in the guildhall and museum.
