Nestled into the South Coast Countryside in South Somerset, bordering both Devon & Dorset Counties is this unique rural log cabin retreat. This quiet, level oak woodland site is set in 8.5 acres of parkland naturally screened by rhododendrons amongst the mature oaks, beeches & birches. From the tranquil setting of your own log cabin, you can discover the unique charm of a holiday in beautiful woodland. Here the delights of the outdoor life are on your doorstep, discover the wealth of wildlife especially Rabbits, Pheasants, Buzzards, Woodpeckers and even Roe Deer (if you are quiet). Children are occupied with a play area and a giant trampoline complete with safety enclosure netting, table tennis table plus the abundance of safe cycle and walking tracks within the park to explore and play safely. The woods are great for den building. We also have our own outdoor heated swimming pool (82 degrees F) which is positioned in a sun trap complimented with sun loungers.

Suitable for pets plus dog sitting service provided.

The cabin has 3 steps to gain entry and all doors are extra wide.

The balcony of the log cabin is equipped with patio table & chairs and barbecue.
Coast/Beach
Lyme Bay Jurassic Coastline with its sandy beaches is approx 9 miles (20 mins drive)
Great for the fossil hunter.
Golf
Windwhistle Golf Course Excellent long 18 hole with buggies. approx 2 mile distance.
There are also two Par 3, 9 hole courses within 25 minutes drive.

Fantastic Break!
The log cabin is beautifully finished, and very comfortable. Set in a secluded forest it provided the perfect family break and was excellent for our two dogs. We Will definitely be returning to explore the area further as there is just so much to see and do!

We had a great few days at Alpine Grove and would recommend this site to anyone.Its very well set out with everything to hand.We stayed in Tawny Owl log cabin.What excellent accommodation we hope to be back in September 2008.Perhaps a small iron and ironing board could be added to the cabins

Fantastic
We stayed in Roe Deer Lodge which was absolutely fantastic. We found Richard and his family extremely welcoming. Would highly recommend to any familys. We definately intend on returning.
