Dating from the 17th C No2 Downmans Cottages is one of a terrace of four cottages. The cottage retains many original features but has been updated to include modern conveniences. There are gardens to the front and rear. The rear garden has views over the estuary. The Tarka Trail popular with walkers and cyclists is located at the end of the lane going up to Westleigh. Instow beach is about 1 mile away Westward Ho! and Braunton Burrows close by. The Westleigh Inn an old 15C Devon Longhouse is located in the village which is children friendly.

Steps up to front of cottage so not really suitable for disabled.

Instow beach is about 1 mile away. Close by are Westward Ho! and Braunton Burrows. Woolacombe is about 1/2 hour drive away.

Royal North Devon golf club is located at Northam Burrows approx 5 miles away.
