Barn Cottage is a converted barn with high ceilings and lots of character. Rough at the edges. It has an open plan kitchen and large lounge area with a cosy oil burner. The kitchen and lounge doors open on to the secluded garden so you can keep an eye on the kids. This is the perfect setting for a family holiday for up to 9 people. There are 3 double bedrooms with queen and king double beds. 1 bathroom and one en suite. Extra sleeping is sofa bed in the lounge and a singe Futon which can be moved around. Dogs are also very welcome. The spacious kitchen has everything you will need washer dryer, microwave, dishwasher, aga. Sheets & towels are also provided. Parking for 3 cars on the forecourt. If requested there is a garage. There is a mini barn which Sleeps 4, best with 3. Double bed on mezzanine and a double sofa bed. Shower room and kitchenette. Wall mounted TV. Can be rented separately or with big barn. Makes a great teenage hangout. Or a private space for a young couple with a baby

Changeover day
Changeover usually on a Saturday or Sunday but short stays at non peak times are welcome.Cleaning is charged on top. £150 Big barn and £50.00 Small Barn.

Small Barn double bed and double sofa bed open plan. Small Barn wc shower and sink. Kitchenette. Night storage heating. TV. Rented seperately or extra with the big barn. The barn is cleaned on arrival and departure. All linen is provided at no extra cost. |

Notes on accommodation
Travel cot. High Chair. Heating by oil. Generally the barn is very warm and there is tons of hot water. Dogs are also very welcome. Cooking on the Aga is much slower.
Accessibility
There are 5 steps in the garden up to the property. The property is spead over one floor but there is 2 steps into the lounge from the kitchen.
Outside
There is 2 garden tables 8 chaires. A deck chair, long bench. 2 large outdoor bean bags.
Coast/Beach
10 minutes walk to Watergate bay, down the hill and Jamie Oliver's restaurant. The beach hut. Watergate bay Hotel and some beautiful coastal walks.
Golf
St Enedoc Golf course is 9 miles away. Mini Golf in the next bay Morgan Porth.
Special interest holidays
Take your pick from kite-surfing, traction kite, kite buggy or land board. Safe beaches for surfing, stand up paddle surfing lessons and body boarding. Dog Beach. Extreem Water sports at Watergate Bay.
Travel
2 minutes from Newquay airport. Drive 4 and a half hours from London.M3 A303 A30 all the way till hit signs for Newquay airport. Then follow those. Past Airport, then next left to Watergate bay and Barn Cottage is on the Bend in Treggurian.
Distances
10 mins from Newquay and 25 mins from Padstow. 35 mins from The Eden project.

Booking notes
On receipt of inquiry a booking form and conditions will be sent. We ask for a £200 deposit for the big Barn and £100 for the Mini Barn to secure the booking and full payment 8 weeks in advanced.

We spent a wonderful week at the barn which nestles just above Watergate bay.The cottage is beautifully finished with a seaside feel to it but not compromising on Luxury.
The spacious warm living room accommodated us all on squishy sofas once we'd finally finished surfing for the day.
The beds were very comfortable with lovely linen too.
All in all it was a great place to spend a week and we are looking forward to going back.

About the owner
I have a very cozy apartment in Tignes Val Claret with amazing views, ski in to the door. Espace killy ski area. 300 km of pistes for all levels. 2 Barns at Watergate bay Cornwall for surfing and body boarding. Barn cottage and the Mini Barn, together they sleep 13.Big barn 9 mini barn 4.
We use both these as holiday homes. They are very popular and we have regular visitors to both. The Mini Barn is open plan has a Sleeping, double mezzanine platform & double sofa bed. Kitchenette and shower room. Wall mounted TV. Great for a couple. Cot and high chair can be provided. Barns priced separately. Or you can have both. They are next to each other in the same plot. Garden in the middle.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
I have always loved Watergate Bay and the house came up for sale and I just had to have it. It's a perfect family holiday home and has loads of room to bring friends or go with another family. I am a dog lover so all well behaved dogs welcome. The beach welcomes dogs all year round. I have 2 boys who love the body boarding and are now getting into the surfing even in the bad weather. With a wet suit it doesn't matter how cold it is. Rent both barns together or just one. The Mini Barn could sleep 4 but better with three. It is an open plan Barn with a sleeping platform under a slopping roof above the Bathroom. and double sofa bed. Kitchenette and 32 in TV screen on the wall. Nicely decorated with a beach theme.
Unique benefits of the property
Airport is 2 mins but no noise at all, not on the flight path. Jamie Oliver's 15 is a 10 min walk. Beach cafe. Watergate bay hotel all 10 min walk. Health treatments at the hotel. Padstow is half an hour by car 10 Miles. Truo is 10 miles. Newquay we don't go there if we can help it. Golf course in Newquay at Fistral Bay. Flo rider near by that's great fun.
