This lovely self-catering apartment has the tranquil setting in the owner's garden which is set on 2 levels. The apartment is on the lower level and is very secluded and private. A perfect retreat away from the hustle and bustle of London, but only 10 mins by train will take you to connections for all of London's main attractions. The apartment is clean and comfortable and set on 2 levels. On the lower level there is a shower room with wc and studio kitchen, dining area and sitting room with armchairs, tv/video and radio/cd. A wrought iron spiral staircase leads you to the bright, airy double bedroom. Outside is an al fresco dining area with patio chairs and table and use of barbecue overlooking lower level of the garden. Accessed via a private side gate and down steps through the garden. Greenwich with its maritime history and Crystal Palace are also within easy reach as are many good restaurants, pubs and shops.

Changeover day
Saturdays: Arrival is from 2pm and departure is at 11am.

Notes on accommodation
We have got internet connections for guests. The apartment is heated by oil filled radiators and convector heaters. It is accessed through side entry leading down large York stone steps (lit at night). Not very suitable for children under 5 due to steps and pond in owner's garden.
Outside
Lovely, private "al fresco" dining area with patio chairs and table with use of a barbecue overlooking lower level of garden.
Golf
Dulwich and Sydenham Golf Club is a 10 minute drive.
Travel
Heathrow: Tube to South Kensington, change to Jubilee line to London Bridge. Overground rail from London Bridge to Honor Oak Park.
Gatwick. Overground rail via East Croydon to London Bridge, onto Honor Oak Park.
Directions by car. Take the South Circular Rd A205 and follow directions for Forest Hill. By Hornimans Museum turn into Honor Oak Road. Follow to the end and turn right into Honor Oak Park. The house is No.125, 150 yards on the right, opposite St Augustine's Church. Parking allowed.
Distances
A 5 mins walk downhill will take you to Honor Oak Park mainline station. By train from Honor Oak Park is only 10 mins to London Bridge. Now Honor Oak Park station is on the Underground network. It is in zone 3 and connections can been seen on an Underground map:www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/standard-tube-map.pdf. Local: Forest Hill town centre is 10-15 mins walk or 5 mins bus. Hornimans Museum and park is 15 mins walk. Honor Oak Park parade is 5 mins walk. Lots of restaurants and shops.
Further details
10 minute train ride will take you into London for all the sights. New Underground connections take you from Honor Oak Park to Stratford in approx 40 mins. New Olympic Stadium and Westfield Shopping centre. Honor Oak Park has many excellent restaurants and a couple of good pubs nearby. Local shopping can be reached by a 5 minute walk or 50 yards walk to the bus stop will take you further down the road to more shops, plus post office and launderette. Forest Hill has a shops, bank, station, a Sainsburys supermarket, plus other restaurants and bars. Hornimans Museum and park close by.
Booking notes
A booking can be secured by cheque, bank draft or bank transfer. Guests must incorporate cost into the deposit or this will be charged on arrival.
Balance is payable on arrival in cash or travellers cheques.
Apartment is available from 2pm and vacation by 11am on departure day.
Heating and electricity is included in the cost.
Breakages and damages are charged for at cost, as is special cleaning if the apartment is left in an unacceptable condition.
