Trevean is a large 3 storey granite town house, which sleeps 8 people situated in the centre of Hugh Town on the Island of St. Mary's. It is close to all the main facilities and within easy walking distance for the off-island boats. It is only a few yards to the harbour and town beach. The accommodation is spacious and well equipped. The main living area is on the top floor with lovely views of the harbour. Fully centrally heated. The 31' lounge/kitchen diner is light and airy. We are a non-smoking and no pet establishment. The house is roomy and spacious and has a small outside yard which is ideal for drying. There are several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.

Changeover day
The preferred changeover day is Saturday. Arrival time is after 2pm. Departure is by 10am.
| Bedrooms: | 3 twin bedded rooms and one 5' double bedded room. All have fitted wardrobes and vanity units. A cot (not travel) is available. 2 hairdryers are available. |
| Bathrooms: | Bedrooms on the ground floor have separate shower rooms with WC and wash basins. The middle floor has bathroom with wash basin and WC there is also a separate toilet and wash basin. |
| Kitchen: | The kitchen is very well equipped with dishwasher, cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave. There is a large pine table which seats 8 people comfortably. We have a highchair should it be needed. |
| Utility Room: | The utility room has a washing machine, a tumble dryer and hanging rack. An iron and ironing board are available. |
| Living Rooms: | The living area is situated on the top floor with views over the harbour. It is a sunny, light and airy room with 2 settees and 4 easy chairs. There is a TV, video, DVD, Sky TV, small music and radio system. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and linen are included in the price. Towels and linen are changed weekly. The property will be clean and tidy for each new letting. |
Accessibility
This property is situated on 3 floors with the accommodation on the top floor to take advantage of the view, therefore, not suitable for wheelchair access or anyone with walking difficulties. We do provide a stairgate.
Outside
There is a small yard outside with facilities for drying clothes on a line or a quiet sit at the table and chairs. It may be small but its very sunny. There is also an outside sink with cold water, to rinse off swim wear or fish!
Coast/Beach
Beaches are only a minute or two from the front door.
Travel
The island can be reached by air on the helicopter from Penzance or by small plane from Lands End or other airports eg. Bristol, Southampton, Exeter, Newquay. It is also accessible by sea on the Steamship Company boat from Penzance. Cars can be garaged in Penzance or the airfield car parks.
Distances
St. Mary's is the largest island of the Isles of Scilly. There are several other islands that can be visited by the off-island boats which travel daily to these islands at different times. Each island has its own unique atmosphere and character. There are many lovely tea shops on these islands and the hotels on the islands welcome anyone to sample their fayre. There is or course the famous Tresco Tropical Gardens to visit on the island of Tresco. Each island has its own beautiful views.
Further details
Being situated in the centre of the small town of Hugh Town makes shopping for essentials very easy. There are two banks, a small supermarket and many other interesting shops. On the island is a small golf course and if you are so inclined a riding school. There are historical sites and beautiful walks. If you like under water diving this is just the place to come and can be tried by all from beginners to the seasoned divers. Boat trips to see the seals on the little groups of islands known as the Eastern Isles are a regular feature. There are many fishing trips available and also trips to the famous Bishops Rock Lighthouse. It is possible to hire windsurfers and sailing boats. Bikes are also avaliable for hire. There is no cinema, or bingo halls just beautiful breathtaking scenery and the sea is the colour of turquoise in the shallows. The beaches never get crowded hence it is an ideal place for children to play as there is so much space for them to play in.
Booking notes
Booking can only be secured on payment of deposit which is a quarter of the fee. The final payment being payable 6 weeks before holiday is due to start. We also ask for a bond cheque of £200 to be sent at the same time as the final payment. This will be held until 14 days after your holiday and will be returned provided the house is in good order and had been vacated on time.
